German indie rock band VOODOO BEACH have just put out their latest album Wonderful Life. The album itself has been two years in the making and contains their signature sound and blend of indie-rock, jangle pop and neo-psychedelia that, according to Everything Is Noise, creates “an atmosphere that feels right out of a Stephen King film adaptation intro,” which is an apt description given the overall cool and collected mood heard throughout this record.
Opening track Fremde Fenster helps to set the vibe yet at the same time doesn’t fully reveal the entire journey the listener is about to go on ..read more

Cross continent collaborations are a common occurrence in the modern age. The latest addition to this extensive list is GILDED FORM, a Dutch/American trio made up of Nick Millevoi (guitar), Otto Kokke (synthesizer) and Rene Aquarius (drums); all three musicians have been involved with a slew of underground bands such as DEAD NEANDERTHALS, IMPERIAL CULT, PLAGUE ORGAN, CRYPTAE and more, and now the trio come together as GILDED FORM to explore the stripped back, spiritual, ambient side of stoner doom. The sheer vastness of the oceans between them have been channelled into a deeply meditative and ..read more

Polar Veil, the new album from HEXVESSEL, the self-styled occult sound of the Finnish forest, comes forth with a harsh frostbitten nature as the album title suggests and sees the band embrace a black metal coldness. We caught up wit vocalist Mat McNerney to talk all about HEXVESSEL, Polar Veil, live shows and the power of black metal.
With the brand new HEXVESSEL album Polar Veil, we begin by discussing the next era of the band, with Mat telling us about the album and how the sound of Polar Veil is definitely a change in style for the band. “The album is a very different beast. It came about w ..read more

If you’re a fan of trippy, moody prog then chances are you’re already an ELDER fan. To really hammer the point home on their UK tour, they’ve brought along support from the psych rock and stoner aficionados STEAK and SLOMOSA and tonight’s show promises to be a real sonic odyssey.

Openers STEAK set the scene admirably. Though they’re initially working with a less than stellar turnout, a few songs in they’ve got into the swing of things and the room is considerably busier. Musically sitting somewhere around slightly proggy ps ..read more

After a 14-year-long wait, experimental math-rock band D L G Z make a return with their second full-length Setbacks & Reversals. If there is to be one word to describe the group, that word would be unpredictable. There are no rules, and anything goes when it comes to genres, noise effects and instruments used; you’ll be overwhelmed, but you’ll love every single moment.
Confusion sets in immediately as the album opens with its intro track Quasicrystal that sounds like a phone jingle that then turns into a retro game theme song; you’ll be sat there for that minute wondering what th ..read more

Alongside its lengthy history is a rich, vibrant and world-conquering music scene that carried half of UK pop music on its back during the 1980s and 1990s. Adding to this rich musical heritage is the bluesy, psychedelic and versatile sound of RITUAL KING. Forming in 2016, the trio of Jordan Leppitt (vocals, guitar), Dan Godwin (bass) and Gareth Hodges (drums, backing vocals) have enthralled fans worldwide with their intoxicating riffs, hypnotic melodies and versatile songwriting.
