The 2021 fishing season is off to a bang! I’ve been scouting since the beginning of May and the king salmon are plentiful. Daily limits of Alaska king salmon have been the norm. We’ve been finding great numbers off Noyes Island, Summez Island, and Baker Island. The 2021 season looks to be stellar and has great potential to be a big king salmon year.

You never know what you’re going to see at Southeast Alaska Fishing Adventures Lodge. Some guests spy hump back whales bubble feeding near the dock, a black bear foraging for mussels on the beach, or eagles disputing vocally over salmon.
If you‘re really lucky, you may be fortunate enough to see killer whales, also known as orcas (Orcinus orca).
Killer whales are apex predators, as no other animals prey on them. They are known for their black and white blodges similar to the pattern and colors of a dairy cow. These massive toothed whales are almost as big as a school bus (23-32‘), weigh 1.5 -6 ..read more

Alaska's best fishing begins in Craig, Alaska on Prince of Wales Island. This is our 6th group of the season for SouthEast Alaska Fishing Adventures.
This was our couple's group from Montana celebrating their 10 year anniversaries'
Awesome weather, with 90 degrees heat and sunburns. Big halibut and big king salmon pushed the capacity of my fish tote. It was way too much fun on the Shake n' Bake with these guys.

What do you do on a cold, wet day on Prince of Wales Island: troll for some winter kings.
We fished for a few hours and landed 4 kings, but only one was a keeper. The salmon were caught at 60-80' deep, near Noyes island. We used Pro-Troll flashers with a whole herring and Silver horde spoons.
