There’s caviar, and then there’s Black-owned caviar. With the recent explosion of #CaviarTikTok, this luxury delicacy seems to be everywhere these days. I can’t scroll through my feed without seeing our favorite celebs and influencers diving headfirst into extravagant caviar spreads.
From Rihanna pairing her caviar with chicken nuggets (I wonder if our Fenty queen shares with RZA and Riot Rose or if this is just for mama) to Bethenny Frankel educating us on caviar with her series "Caviar University," there’s just no escaping it.
And let’s not forget the elite king himself, DeAndre Brown, ind ..read more

"Very bougie, very expensive, very exclusive, very icy."
Saweetie gives us a look into her makeup routine and it's a lot simpler than you think. Known for her glam looks and top tier face card, the Icy girl's routine proves that less is more and technique always wins.
However, it wouldn't be a Saweetie video without humor. Throughout the video, she shared hilarious stories from her childhood, including using lip liner instead of an eyebrow pencil to fill in her eyebrows.
Check out the rapper's ASMR makeup tutorial for InStyle below.

Recently, while checking out a movie, a wife said that she and her husband were trying to come up with creative things to do in the bedroom because, it wasn’t so much that their sex life had become boring, but “it is stale and repetitive” (which gee, sure does sound like a definition of boring to me — LOL). It’s not the first time I’ve heard that because some of my own clients in real life bring that very issue up from time to time.
What’s interesting about boredom, though, is a variety of things can be the root cause of it: a lack of interest, no sense of purpose, stress or anxiety or havin ..read more

Spring symbolizes a rebirth and this rebirth is usually associated with nature. However, it can also take place in our minds. It can give us a renewed mindset and motivation regarding our goals, especially if the first quarter was rough.
As the sun emerges once more and the flowers start blooming, it’s the best time to reflect and grow into the person you were destined to be. One effective way to nurture your inner growth and embrace the vibrant energy of spring is through journaling.
Journaling is a wellness practice that can unlock creativity, emotions, and mental clarity. While it’s recom ..read more

Gross generalizations. Boy, if there’s one thing that social media is good for (other than acting like an opinion is a bona fide fact — SMDH), it’s speaking in gross generalizations. Take some commentary that I recently checked out by a male married influencer (name unnecessary). Although there is quite a bit of his content and perspectives that I appreciate, I did roll my eyes as I watched him share his thoughts on a post by a single woman who was giving relationship advice.
In response, there was something he said that was indeed a gross generalization (and opinion not fact): “Never listen ..read more

Something that I really like about the change in seasons is they're a reminder that change is not only inevitable, it is very much so necessary. It's necessary for progress. It's necessary for growth. It's necessary in order for all of us to evolve into even bigger and greater versions of ourselves so that our purpose in this life can truly be fulfilled.
That's why I find it odd that so many of us question ourselves whenever we become restless, outgrow a relationship, or seriously consider leaving a job or moving to another city—or heck, another country even.
While we're out here wondering w ..read more

Last year, I wrote an article for the site entitled, “Viral Sensation Christiana Sabino Is Using 'Pure Black Love' To Build Her Brand.” There are dozens of reasons why I’m a fan of Christiana and her brand and, as I was recently watching an Instagram post of hers, I was reminded of one of them: that woman’s skin. HAVE. MERCY. I’m going to feature it underneath this intro simply because it is definitely a salute to what having a skincare routine — and consistently practicing self-care — can do for a sistah. It’s also a PSA that if you yourself don’t have a daytime and nighttime skin regimen ..read more

Whenever I have clients who are engaged, something that I make sure to say to them, almost every session, is it's important to understand that oftentimes, what causes the end of a marital union isn't anything "big." Nah, it's more about the little irritants that, after a few years of them happening over and over again, start to drive one or both partners so completely up the wall that they would rather be alone than have to continue to endure what is basically the equivalent of listening to fingernails on the chalkboard.
And what does this have to do with the title of today's post? Well, a ..read more
