Hi, I have had migraines for 50 years. (I’m 60) All of a sudden I have had the worst headaches of my life, 4 times in the past week. The first time was the worst. I thought maybe I was having a stroke and wouldn’t make it. That was last Tuesday night. I went to the ER and they gave me fioricet. I don’t know if it helped but I started feeling better after a few hours. The doctor told me to see an allergist/immunologist. It happened again on Thursday night. I went to the ER again and they gave me something called a migraine cocktail. It just made me feel anxious but after a few hours, I started ..read more

This is not that important and I am just going to be rambling about my pet peeves.
I was in a cluster cycle that about a week ago, and since I had gone several days without one I thought it had ended. I was at a family function last night and without even thinking twice I had a small glass of champagne that triggered a cluster headache (alcohol is one of my main external triggers).
Without access to my tank I tried to do the best I could with what I had, I asked for a coffee (not redbull but I figured it was better than nothing), grabbed a can of coke because it was cold and I like the cool f ..read more

That is the question I started answering somewhere else. But as I was typing down the anser, it kinda went past the topic I was answering and I felt maybe it belongs here.
I'll answer it myself first:
I cant get the meds I need for my cluster headaches. (Verapamil shortage?)
Because of that Im up all night in agony and cant sleep.
Because of that I cant perform at work
Because of that I'm frustrated
I have ADD and don't handle my frustrations well
I know all the above isn't anything I could have done anything about
That all makes me feel powerless, which is even more frustrating.

I am a 20-year-old male who began experiencing cluster headaches when I was 17. It's strange since I can distinctly recall the week I started experiencing them. Fast forward to January 2023, when I underwent brain surgery after an 18mm brain aneurysm was discovered while in the process of working with a neurologist regarding cluster headaches. It is crucial to note that I was diagnosed with cluster headaches two years prior to the discovery of the aneurysm and am deemed entirely healed from the operation, however my cluster headaches persist. My headaches have come and gone over the years as ..read more

Sorry in advance this is going to be a long one.
I (30F) have suffered with what I always assumed, (and what my GP said) were migraines since I was a teenager, with varying degrees of severity. I don't know if they never had a pattern or if I'm only now realising there is a pattern.
Every year between about mid March to the start of May I will get consistent migraines, it will start out more spaced out, sort of every couple of days, then they'll increase in frequency until I have migraine/cluster headache attacks every day for 1 to 2 weeks.
This year is the first year that I have kept somewha ..read more

I (26) recently fell into remission after 8 years of chronic cluster headaches (~1 month). I'm incredibly thankful and hopefully they stay away.
Problem: I'm bored to a level that I am too stupid to articulate. My every day life for 8 years has pretty much revolved around surviving and now that the pain is no longer there, I'm inconsolably bored. My fight or flight has been around the clock active for 8 years and now that the pain isn't there I've entered a new psychological state, so to speak.
Has anyone in chronic cluster remission felt the same and if so what were some tips that you used t ..read more

Hey everyone. A question for those who have been suffering with episodic for a long time (10 years plus). Has your pattern always stayed the same? Or does it always end up switching up? Mine has been tied in with the arrival of spring for the past couple of years like clockwork, just wondering whether it’s likely this could change in the future.
