Our second destination on our Costa Rican travel was Nosara. We knew we wanted to head to the coast, after being inland in the rainforest for the first few days. A lot of people recommend Santa Teresa, which seems to be one of the most popular beach towns on the West coast. A little bit of further research and we discovered Nosara, similar to Santa Teresa but seemingly a little lesser known. We travelled to Nosara from Rio Celeste, using a transfer service and the drive took around four hours. The drive was fine until you hit the last hour, where the ride gets very bumpy. The roads near to No ..read more

With all our quaint villages, narrow lanes and tucked away coves; it’s not hard to stumble upon a hidden gem which has been hiding for years. Always someones favourite place but one you’ve never heard of before and one sunny afternoon, I set out to find one that had sudden come onto my radar. Fern Pit Cafe is in Newquay, overlooking Crantock beach and The Gannel. We parked up in the Pentire carpark and walked a few minutes around the headland to this spot. There’s parking on road nearby but it is residential so best to park up in the car park. The cafe is gorgeous; can you beat that view? On ..read more

POV: You wake up to crashing waves, wander over to the balcony that overlooks one of Cornwalls finest beaches, head to the bathroom to run a bubble bath and enjoy the same view, whilst drinking your morning coffee. Sound pretty damn good, yeah? Well, that was reality when I had the pleasure of spending the night at Fistral Hotel & Spa. Fistral Hotel & Spa is an adults only hotel, over looking Fistral beach. There’s a variety of rooms, with some of the best rooms offering these balcony views over the waves from both the bedroom and the bathroom! With a large king bed, sofa area, dining ..read more

Costa Rica; the nature lovers dream location! I recently explored Costa Rica for 10 days and fell madly in love with the Country. I’m going to share everything we did and my recommendations for your trip. We split our trip into three; Rio Celeste in land, Nosara beach break and ending in Manuel Antonio for the national park. We flew into Costa Rica, via Texas, and stayed in the Holiday Inn near the airport. I can highly recommend doing this if you land late, there’s a shuttle bus from the airport for free and it’s a comfortable stay to wake up early and head to your destination in the morning ..read more

Postcards From Lisbon, Portugal

There’s no better escape than a European city break in the summer. No plans, no set itinerary, just wandering, eating and enjoying. We had some annual leave coming up so figured we’d explore a new city and that chosen city was Lisbon. I’ve been to Portugal before, to the Algarve, but I was desperate to explore those pastel streets. We had about 48 hours to explore, arriving lunch time on the Tuesday, and departing the same time on the Thursday, and here’s the postcards. Wandering Lisbon is no joke, it’s a very steep city where it feels like you’re heading up hill a whole lot more than you’re ..read more

48 Hours In Mallorca, Spain

To reach Mallorca, we flew from London Stansted on a direct flight to Palma. We had booked a rental car in advance from Record Go, where we could collect the car from the airport and then get straight off. The process was easy, it was pricey so I don’t know that I’d recommend them but the car was great and had a Sat Nav built in which made navigating so easy. We drove straight to our hotel in Portocolom, near Santanyi and this took about 45 minutes. We stayed at the beautiful Portomar Apartments in Portocolom. The hotel offers a variety of sized rooms and they come with a sofa bed so suitable ..read more

Big Wild Thought; Where Clothing & Charity Meet

Finding conscious clothing brands is an absolute minefield, there’s eco fabrics, well paid labour, packaging and so much more to take into account. Big Wild Thought is a brand that offers all these things but it doesn’t end there. With every purchase of their apparel, a 10% donation from the cost goes straight to a chosen charity, relevant to that of the piece. Check out these gorgeous pieces that I was very kindly gifted.. Each item has an embroidered design focussing on an animal or natural element; you can choose from a range of tees, jumpers, sweat sets and accessories. The logo relates t ..read more

Exploring Seven Sisters Cliffs at Sunrise; Eastbourne, Sussex

I recently found myself in Sussex for work and upon checking the weather forecast for the following day, realised it was going to be the most beautiful clear morning. I was staying only 15 minutes from the gorgeous Beachy Head, an area I’d never explored before, so I set my alarm early and headed straight there! The Seven Sisters Cliffs are a series of chalk cliffs along the coastline, the whole area is part of the South Downs National Park and I started my little exploration at Beachy Head, where you’ll find the lighthouse just tucked below the cliffs. The morning was as clear as I had hoped ..read more
