I’ve had over 20 bikes in my life but these new Dual Sports are unlike any other bike. I’m absolutely obsessed with this thing! I'm building a Checkpoint ALR from the frame up and just can't decide on which color half frame bag to get. The picture is pretty accurate to real life colors--the yellow is more orange and the red has more orange also. Tornado Red for reference below. It'll be getting tanwall tires and black bar tape. Just thrown together for the moment with Domane parts. I have a regular black Bontrager Adventure Boss on my Domane but it's too big for this bike. Hey everyone, the wife and I both have a marlin 5 bike, we are looking to make the handle bars higher up for comfort due to the type of biking we do, generally on pavement, in the parks, and around at the lake. looking for an option so we sit more up right. Also, the handle bars on our bikes are fairly straight, as in there isnt much curve in the handle bars towards the rider. Are there a set of handle bars that anyone can suggest? I received this bike new in the early 90s when i was 12. Now, with my kids old enough to go on longer bike rides I was thinking about an upgrade. My question, is their any value in this? Would a bike shop potentially be interested and, ball park figure, what should I expect. Found this damage to my frame today- at first couldn’t fathom how it happened, paint damaged through the primer but aluminum unharmed.
