My trusty 2018 Stache 9.7 single speed has developed an ugly bottom bracket creak, and the solution for that seems to be a Wheels Mfg thread-together bb. I’m looking at this bb: BB86/92 Thread Together ABEC-3 BB for 24/22mm (SRAM) Cranks - Black
But have read some comments online that there’s some kind of impingement in previous model year carbon Stache frames which...

Well, it appears I’m trading my tazer MX to go back to “analog”.
I’ll preface this by starting with some of the issues I have with the tazer. Firstly, yes I can go longer, faster, etc. but what has happened is weird. Since going e-bike I have experienced some leg issues. I’ve been back on bikes for about 6 years now. Always make sure my fit is dialed. Bike sizing is correct, etc. I have been experiencing a lot of Charlie horses, in the back of the thigh, calf, feet. Weird, right? None of...

Are there any tricks to get insert a new dropper cable into the housing in the '17-19 Fuel EX? The cable seems to bind in the housing around where the cable makes a sharp turn by the BB. I prefer not to bring this is to the bike shop for something so simple ..read more

A friend of mine and rider of a Trek Rail and I have both be eyeing the new Slash.
I'm still very happy with my Gen6 Fuel EX, but the power of the "N+1" has always have sway over me. For my friend, I guess the same... We both always looking to the new with want in our hearts...
I came up with the idea that the Rail is pretty long in the tooth, its still a good bike, but its getting old. So my guess is that the Rail will be dropped from the line up and replaced by a electric Slash, let's...

I am installing a One Up dropper post on my 2018 Roscoe 7 which is sort of set up for internal routing. Not sure how to rout the cable once it comes out of the bottom of the down tube on the drive side. It has to get to the other side of the seat post tube. See photos for my proposed route. Should I drop it below the bottom bracket instead ..read more

Hello! I've been riding mtb for 23 years; raced xc cat 1 for 8 years, lots of 50+mi races, and some BME events. I've had good luck with a variety of trek bikes-- 26er top fuel 9.9, SF100, procaliber, remedy 29, etc.
This is my 2018 Fuel EX, P1 paint job, size large (19.5). It's been my only full squish for a few years, and I do everything with it. Custom built, built my own wheels for rowdy enduro vs xc marathon, etc. I also have a '21 Salsa Timberjack singlespeed.
Life changes and a...

My local shop did a “Slasher” Halloween event. I couldn’t attend so I bought my Slash earlier in the day!
I picked up a Gen 6 9.8 with AXS Transmission. I have to say this bike climbs well. I’m a terrible climber. After buying the bike, I’m still a terrible climber…just more efficient at it lol!
other than that, this bike can shred well. It feels so much like my Santa Cruz 5010 but with more travel. I’m 5’11” with 29” inseam and I went with ML so I have that 5010 like feel.
