We are at the very last step of Stage 4 (biometrics Sep 1 2022 in Lisbon) - AIMA has asked our lawyer for proof that we still have the investment, they have everything else. We thought… no problem, right!!! Well no… Santander is telling our lawyer that it will take 3 MONTHS to provide another declaration of investment. This does not seem possible. Can you dispose your investment before you get your permanent residence permit if 5 years have already passed since your initial investment (thanks to slow as hell SEF/AIMA)? Since the April change only applies to citizenship, if I do not try to obtain citizenship, do I have to go through the whole 2+2+1 process to get permanent residency from the initial granting of the very first golden visa ? Hi. We are trying to have our college age daughter added to our Golden Visa. There is a requirement that she provides an apostille that she is not married. I have spoken to the county and the state and both say this is not something offered. We were advised by attorney to have a statement notarized by attorney in NC, which we have. I am about to send documentation in and was advised that they will not apostille the notary from attorney as it is not from official office even though that is not offered. Am I missing something? Since someone PMd me asking about neighborhoods I figured it was time someone started a thread My wife and I got an apartment in Lisbon and did a good amount of looking, though admittedly probably not enough! We ended up mostly looking in the area between the Intendente and Mqs de Pombal and would not hesitate to recommend the area, it’s close to everything but not in the tourist areas, and seems to be on the upswing Intendente was busier but had a lot more stuff, and tons of restaurants, immigrants, and construction, all of which I think are great signs. Met a couple from the US last evening and they discussed their GV application. Applied end 2021, and were given an appointment this January for biometrics. They informed their Attorney that the date was not ideal for them, so they would wait for another one. Apparently, the Attorney is not a happy camper, and has told them so, but has said that he will try and schedule another one for them.
