The Gymnopédies, or Trois Gymnopédies, are three piano compositions written by French composer and pianist Erik Satie. In November 1888, the third Gymnopédie was published. The melodies of the pieces use deliberate, but mild, dissonances against the harmony, producing a piquant, melancholy effect that matches the performance instructions, which are to play each piece "painfully" (douloureux), "sadly" (triste), or "gravely" (grave). ------------------- Welcome to Just Instrumental Music! - Become a member and support the channel ^_^ https://www.youtube.com/c/JustInstrum... - Have a look at ou ..read more

The Brandenburg Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 1046–1051), are a collection of six instrumental works presented by Bach to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt, in 1721 (though probably composed earlier). The original French title, Six Concerts à plusieurs instruments names six concertos for several instruments. Some of them feature several solo instruments in combination. They are widely regarded as some of the best orchestral compositions of the Baroque era. ------------------- Welcome to Just Instrumental Music! - Become a member and support the channel ^_^ https://w ..read more
