I took the family to see Blue Beetle today and the movie was fantastic, going beyond the typical superhero film. It brimmed with emotion and a captivating storyline, rather than relying solely on CGI fight scenes.
With that said, the CGI was fantastic, and the use of practical suits was genius, evoking the charm of some of Marvel’s phase 1 movies. If I had to draw a comparison, I’d say it felt a little like Iron Man and Sam Raimi’s Spiderman with a little bit of Ant Man.
