We’ve hinted before that we would be looking to add to the Hamilton Media & Nubi Interiors team, and that time has finally come! We’re looking to add both a full time Interior Designer and a Digital/Social Media Marketing Intern to our team to help with all of the client and brand work that we have on deck this year. I’d love to have a Designer in the Memphis area that can be in office with us and join us on site for local projects, but I’m absolutely willing to look outside of Memphis (remote position) for the best candidate for the team! Please see the full descriptions below, and if yo ..read more

My Coffee Bar Essentials

A morning cup of coffee is a non-negotiable for me, and while grabbing a cup on the go is fun, I prefer to make mine at home. There’s something to be said about the time it takes to make your first cup. It’s an intentional moment that sets the tone for your day. I currently use a Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine. It looks complicated with all of the bells and whistles, but once you get the hang of it, you will love being an at home barista and making it on your own. A Perfect Cup of Joe At home, I keep things simple. Because of the capabilities of my machine, I use whole beans, eith ..read more

by Carmeon Hamilton

Black History Month is coming to a close, but before we head out, we thought it would be nice to highlight and share some of the Black Interior Designers that I love to follow. There are so many talented designers out there, and the beauty of the design industry is that there is a space (and audience) for everyone. My work has been featured on many lists over the years (I was even recently featured on Real Simple Magazine’s list), so what better way to use my platform than to highlight some of my faves so that you can be inspired by their work as well? Not only are they talented in design, bu ..read more

Hamilton House 2024 Project List

Every new year starts out with well thought out goals and intensions for myself and our home. And if you’ve been around a while, you know that in 2021, I sat down for the first time ever and wrote out my wish list for our home that I wanted to bring in that year. It made for the best road map for the year and we were off to a great start. After Marcus’s passing, things came to a halt and just got pushed off until I was ready to make changes to our home again. When 2022 rolled in, it wasn’t long before it felt right to start doing just that. Whatever was left over from the year before, made it ..read more

Red Sangria

by Carmeon Hamilton

For Episode 6 of Crafts, Cocktails and Conversation with Carmeon Hamilton, we made a traditional Red Sangria. This festive, fruity cocktail is a must-have for any big gathering. Fun fact about Sangria: there is no official “recipe” for it. Spaniards first introduced a version of Sangria in the 1800s, with the signature version we’re used to in the US in the 60s. While the base is always made with dry Spanish red wine and brandy or rum, the fruit, herbs and spices that are mixed in can vary by recipe. With that being said, use the recipe that we’ve listed before to get started and then adjus ..read more

For Episode 5 of Crafts, Cocktails and Conversation with Carmeon Hamilton, we wanted to do a twist on a traditional White Russian and make it a little more apropos for holiday, so we added in Egg Nog to create a Silent Night! This cocktail is like a yummy adult milkshake, so keep it away from the kiddos! This is another cocktail recipe that’s super simple to make (it’s only 3 ingredients), so it would work great as a batch cocktail for gatherings. Silent Night (White Russian) Ingredients 2 oz of Vodka  2 oz of Coffee Liqueur 4 oz of Egg Nog  Combine all ingredients into a ..read more
