Life has been ...challenging and full of changes the past few years. It has been a bit of a rollercoaster with so many dips and turns. I have learned multiple life lessons and I have found out so much about myself and the people in my life. My last post shared about how life was telling me that it was just time to slow down, even if I wasn't ready to. I went through a pandemic, I watched my family become something new and different, I saw myself grow into the person that I am supposed to be and I realized how precious time is. I don't waste an ounce of it now. To some who don't really kn ..read more

Hurry Up and Wait

Most of my life, I have had the energy and attitude of go-go-go. If life threw me a curveball, I would allow myself small moments of silent pity parties but then I would get up and begin again. In my mind, I have no time to waste, ever. In my heart, I have too much to give not to love the right person. In my soul, I have just one life and I have zero patience to wait for anything... even the good things. Maybe it was my upbringing. Maybe it is a family trait (all of the women in my family are strong and stubborn and if you dare tell them they cannot, they will not only find a way to do i ..read more

The Day the Food Allergy Moms Died

It's been almost one full year since I wrote a blog. One Year. I have been writing since I was very young- it's always been a passion of mine. Words flowing onto paper or otherwise because sometimes, life stifles your ability to speak the words that you need to share. So when I stopped writing, I was concerned. I thought a part of me had died, that I was losing something that I felt so deeply about. It turns out that nothing is lost but so very much has been found.  The Title    The title I chose today was not to be dramatic or to be eye catching. It is truly based on wh ..read more

The COVID19 pandemic has been a very strange way to begin 2020, to say the least. I'm not sure about all of you but I wake up hoping each day will get better, then we hear about insane things like Murder Hornets and we continue on trying to realize that this is not a movie, this is real life. Throughout this crisis, I can honestly say that I have seen the food allergy community come together even stronger. This virtual family is insanely loving, compassionate and it has been a huge part of what has kept me going. One of my BIGGEST fears as a food allergy parent has always been THIS scenario ..read more

The Good Crisp Company Giveaway

As a food allergy mother with teenagers, I have always kept my eye out for healthier snack options. I do believe in letting my children indulge in snacks, especially for my son who has food allergies. I want my children (and myself) to be able to enjoy snacks but I also want to try to find a balance, which means seeking out products that contain better ingredients. So imagine how large my eyes got the first time I found The Good Crisp Company chips.  Why Do I Like Them? These chips are very similar to another chip item but they have no artificial colors or or flavors, are GMO free ..read more

It's a Biscuit.. Or IS It?!

Are you one of those people who used to eat certain foods but you can't anymore? Growing up, one of my favorite Saturday morning breakfast foods were Bisquick drop biscuits with butter. The fluffy yet slightly crunchy biscuits... my mouth is watering right now. This doesn't happen when you try to make them with gluten free options, it just doesn't. Yes, I can make biscuits but nothing has even come close to these... le sigh. On the plus side, I recently posted about this very subject and asked for people to share their favorite products and recipes, offering a gluten free version for me to ..read more

Life After Nutrimom

Most of you have noticed that my blogs have been almost non active. Life has changed drastically in so many ways. Difficult decisions had to be made. COVID basically killed Nutrimom as a business and other factors led me to push my previous commitments aside and choose what had to be done vs. what I wanted to do. During the process, my blog became nearly inactive and life as Nutrimom began to dwindle. The harsh reality of not being driven by my previous passions slapped me in the face each day as I began to work six days a week, try to get through the remainder of my divorce, keep up the ..read more

Are you gluten free? Are you trying gluten free products? Today, I want to chat about gluten free wraps. Let's be honest- most gluten free wraps are not amazing. They can be too gummy, fall apart way too easily, are not flexible or just don't taste very good. If you follow me, you know that I don't sugarcoat anything. There is no reason too. Even with food allergies, intolerances and/or dietary restrictions, you should enjoy the foods that you eat. Which is what brings me to my next point- my review of Kaliwonder Gluten Free Slim Wraps. Before I jump into it, I did not look at the fact that t ..read more
