Hey all! I'm going in next month for VSG and have t2 diabetes. I'm just curious to see how many of you folks have gone into complete remission after surgery, or how many have gotten their a1c under control enough but aren't in remission. I know everyone's different, but I'm just curious on actual experiences rather than the old data I seem to find. If I can even get my a1c stable, I'll consider it a win! Hi, I am currently in the program and really want to have the operation but I am so afraid of being one of the persons who will get super sick for years afterwards. I got issues with reflux and gastritis and always when I am in emotional stress my tummy acts weird. I’m a little over 4 weeks post op and I’m a vegetarian(also don’t eat eggs) and at first I did great, but now I can’t even look at a protein shake or yogurt without gagging. I was doing tofu and beans pretty well but today I can’t even tolerate those. I’m struggling with water intake as well.
