Day 6 of the pre op diet...

and I thank my lucky stars I spent time losing weight before ever considering surgery. I am down 160lbs thus far. This diet is really tough. I am starving. It is not the food type but the amount. I normally do 1500-1600 cals per day, so the 1000 cal max is really tough. I really just can't fathom how I'd be able to to do this if this was my first confrontation with my relationship with food. If you are still in the pre-op phase, I would highly suggest you start losing weight while you go through the motions to getting to a date. It doesn't need to be as strict as the pre-op diet but start. Th ..read more

Carbonate?

Is the no carobonate rule due to damage to the stomach? Or is it really due to the calories in potentially sweet drinks? My surgeon didn’t ever mention carbonate really, it’s only what I’ve seen on here. Consensus online seems to vary. I can’t see how carbonate could damage a stomach so guessing it’s just to get people to avoid the empty calories? submitted by /u/ohholyfrak [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I don't trust the mirror yet but I do trust data. Really I started at 365 pre-op and lost a bunch during the fast period, didn't start recording until a few weeks post op. Down 76 lbs so far!

Hi F(25) 3 months post SW-230 CW-160 Now I can start to see a HUGE difference and people are noticing too . (Let me add that it feels weird getting comments from people; especially on my weight loss , because they add the “you look beautiful “ mind you I’ve always been a baddie) Anyways with summer around the corner IM OUTSIDE . And I feel so fucking awkward because the treatment is so different.(which is sad. Do better ) I’m still a shy girl at heart and attention is really weird ; especially from men. Anyone else felt that way and how did you maneuver through that part of weight lost withou ..read more

My starting weight in the first 3 pictures was 295 pounds, my current weight is 213!!!! My surgery was December 20th and I’m almost at the 4 month mark and I physically cannot believe the change I feel in my body, I feel SO much better, I didn’t think it was possible to be comfortable in my own body with either health or happiness. I can do so many things I couldn’t do before whatsoever. The change has been so drastic that it’s genuinely hard to keep track of everything but I am so happy that I got the surgery!!! If you’re thinking about it and are unsure if you want to commit to something li ..read more

So I've been losing every week, haven't hit a stall, this morning I got on the scale and only lost 0.4 lbs (weigh myself every Tuesday) I know a loss is a loss but I feel...strange? Not sure how to explain it. Im just thinking over and over I wonder what I did that cause me to only lose such a small amount this week. I know these things are common just wanted to come on here to vent lol submitted by /u/Novel_Ad_1377 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
