Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has secured convictions against three men in two separate cases of illegal angling on Lough Sheelin, resulting in fines totalling over €5,000. 94% of Lough Sheelin trout anglers now catch-and-release more fish from lake Fishing the Lough Sheelin shoreline. The survey showed that 94% of the lough’s anglers now catch-and-release more fish from the lake than they did when they first started. An Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) survey has found that 94% of Sheelin anglers are now releasing more of the trout they catch back into Lough Sheelin than they did when they started fishing. Vintage collection to be displayed 121 years after first being commissioned Blue Touser, tied in 1902. A 121-year old display of Irish salmon flies, which was commissioned for the Cork International Exhibition in 1902, is to be exhibited once again in the Cork Public Museum, the same site in which it was originally displayed.
