Why We Should All Maintain A Morning Routine

We all wake up each morning in hopes of having a great day– 24 hours filled with a happy mindset, delicious food, productivity, and a positive attitude. However, what we often dismiss is the idea that how we initially start our morning, those immediate hours upon waking up are the foundation of what kind of day we will have.  When creating a morning routine, it is essential to fill those hours upon waking with activities and tasks that make you happiest. Personally, I enjoy beginning each day with some type of mindfulness followed with caffeine. I also am not a fan of mundane routines, th ..read more

Graduation Goggles

If you have seen the classic sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, then you may remember the exploding meatball sub, Lily’s (almost) second departure from Marshall, and most notably, as explained by Robin, the term “graduation goggles.” This is the idea that when a person has decided to put an end to something, whether it be a job or a relationship, that person quickly becomes nostalgic of said commitment and begins to enjoy everything that they once hated because it dawns on them that it will be gone once they leave.  The concept of “graduation goggles” is something that I believe almost everyb ..read more

The kitchen is the heartbeat of your home– it is the place where you spend the majority of your time and experience some of the best moments. Regardless of the person or the home, the kitchen is often the place friends and family usually migrate to, where the most laughs are shared, meals are enjoyed, and both serious and playful conversations flow. This is why when it comes to life hacks, the tricks that circulate within the kitchen are always my favorite. Below are my top five: Mason Jars This is the hack that has completely changed my kitchen game. Say hello to your new best friend– the m ..read more

Creating the Capsule Wardrobe

As calendar months are torn after the thirtieth and the once plush plate of green grass is instead blanketed with frostbite, we accept that time is beyond our grasp. And with the changing months, changing seasons, and changing years, it is guaranteed that the current fashion trend will then, too, change.  This can be exciting, but also exhausting. Those handful of flowy, floor-length skirts you splurged on last year are now replaced with thigh-exposing mini skirts. The heap of cropped skinny jeans that you blew your entire paycheck on? OUT, replaced with straight leg and baggy full length ..read more

Skin Care Routine
Quarter Life Confusion Blog

One bandwagon trend I have jumped on for about a year or so now is maintaining a skin care regime. At first, I was a bit eerie about this. I’m only in my twenties, I shouldn’t have to worry about wrinkles! Also, a skin care “routine”? That seems like it takes a lot of knowledge, money, and time, which I lack in each of those categories.  However, I have learned that a proper skin care routine does more than prevent wrinkles. It brightens your skin. Softens your skin. Hydrates your skin. Incorporating a skin care regime also doesn’t mean you have to be an expert on dermacare with also a ma ..read more

Battling Body Dysmorphia

**Trigger Warning: Context involves body dysmorphia and eating disorders Ever since I was young I have always had a tiny stature. Forever being the smallest in class, my lack of height was also complimented with a petite build. I grew up always hearing the chorus of “You’re so tiny!” or “Ugh, you are so lucky to be this skinny.”  From this, as well as society’ expectation of women’s bodies, I have always graveled at the image in the mirror. Since I was ten, I was known in school for being so “itty bitty” and I felt the obligation to make sure such a reputation was never tarnished. By the ..read more

The art series that we did not want, but needed.  Lainey Molnar’s All Women Empowerment Art validates how there is no “one right way.” Women come in all different shapes, shades, and cultural backgrounds as well as with varying lifestyles, goals, and values. Molnar reminds us, as women, to stop judging ourselves and others and instead embrace the uniqueness we each serve.  Each image of Molnar’s art series has two contrasting columns. One woman will be illustrated a certain way on one side whereas that depiction is imm ..read more

The Reality of Being Twenty

When I was growing up, twelve years old with the glistening of hope and desire in my eyes, I had a dear image of my 20 year-old self: short and petite (as I already given up any hope of growing), rocking a blonde bob cut (should have cut my losses there), with a light gray business suit that perfectly compliments my curves (or there lack-of), clutching an oak washed briefcase that visually signifies my importance. I picture this woman every time I think of my future. A woman oozing success and confidence. Fast forward ten years later. That painting I illustrated in my head was a little misdire ..read more

R.I.P to the “I’m Sorry” Flowers

Last night I was watching yet another episode of HBO Max’s The Sopranos (if you haven’t seen it yet, add it to your phone’s notes right this minute). In the episode Tony Soprano was extremely disrespectful to his wife, Carmela, so the following day he surprised her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers (if you have seen the show, absolutely no surprise there).  Watching this exchange of a beautiful assortment of flowers, baby breath, and daisies really made me think. Since we were in elementary school, sitting erect in our seats in complete awe during our English lesson, we have learned tha ..read more

Let’s Talk about February 15th
Quarter Life Confusion Blog

Valentine’s Day should never be something to stress about. This does not have to be a day filled with romantic gestures and googly-eyed love talk (like how Hollywood loves to portray it). Rather, Valentine’s Day is simply a nudge of encouragement to remind those around us of our love and appreciation for them, whether that be a galentine or a valentine.  My Valentine’s Day Tradition  I, personally, have never been a Valentine’s Day celebrator. On February 14th, movie theatres are packed. Restaurants have a ridiculous wait time. It is usually a weekday and the last thing I want to do ..read more
