Hello, I want to buy a car for racing - slalom, hillclim,... I have a choice of two cars - Corolla E11 63kW or Starlet P9 55kW. I want to ask, what car do you recommend? I mainly need speed on the hills. I had a Starlet P8 (0-100 in 10.5s) and it wasn't enough, but before I could make adjustments I had an accident. The Corolla does it in 12.5s and the P9 in 11.2s on paper. Turbo is out of the question due to the rules, I can change the gearbox and possibly willing to invest around 500€ in the engine. Which car do you think is more capable? What modifications or what transmission do you recomme ..read more

Hi   I am desperately searching for the reinforcement of the glove compartment door of the Prius first gen. Pictures and measurements of that part would be much appreciated, that could help me to rebuild it (or let it rebuild). Can anyone help me? I made a picture where you can see where this part has to be installed. In the picture the part is not yet installed. The vertical red lines are where the plastic in between has to be cut off in order to deinstall the fan. When the fan is reinstalled, the plasic marked with a red wave is no longer usefull, it hast to be bypassed by that reinforc ..read more

Head gasket has blown on my 87 Carina II (4AC engine I think). I haven't taken the head off yet, but am wondering whether there may be coolant corrosion in the aluminium head. Are they prone to this? If so what is the usual repair, other than a replacement head ..read more

RT100 Corona Sedan Two-Door?

I'm working on a project to illustrate every Toyota ever sold in the US.  Every model, every generation and even every body variant.  261 in total.  Well, I thought 261. Just stumbled over the RT104/RT105 Corona two-door sedan.  I had no idea this existed, but Wikipedia claims that this sold well in the US.  Every brochure from 1974-1978 shows it, although it's definitely shown second to the hardtop coupe in almost every year.  Here's the funny thing.  I can't find ONE PHOTO on Google Images of one of these, outside of the brochure.  Was this two-door se ..read more
