I recently purchased a woodwind. The grill seems to be an excellent built quality and it seems to be very good at temperature. The only issue I see is it does not seem to produce very much smoke , I don’t see any smoke coming out of the chimney when cooking maybe most pellet grills are like this or possibly it’s the pellets I purchased? I was having issues with my Pitboss last week with the temperature saying it's higher than it really is. I have family coming over on Saturday and need to find a fix asap. Anyone know if I can do something about it, or do I just need a new part? I did a massive deep clean today, basically looks new, but that did not fix it. A friend gave me his Bullseye b/c the auger was jammed and he said he's not mechanically oriented. Here's the problem. The auger is held onto the motor via a cotter pin. But auger froze in a position where the cotter pin can't be removed. I'd have to pull/push it down, but that forces it into a bracket that prevents the motor from rotating freely so the pin can't be pulled/pushed far enough to remove. The bracket is welded into place so I can't remove it. All the videos I've seen about clearing Bullseye auger jams start with removing the motor. Yesterday I smoked chicken for my first cook on the Oklahoma Joe rider dlx 1200. The result lacked smoke flavor and I had some trouble raising the temp. Could the attached video be the reason why?
