Hello. I have had this issue for a while now where I get the feeling of burping in my throat. Sometimes I can control it sometimes I can not at all and it happens so fast(my body jumps a little when it happens by itself and it's fast). It usually happens either when I get up or when I sit down but not always. Sometimes it's with the taste of the food I ate hours ago and sometimes just gas. I have been to two different doctors but both gave me different answers. One said it was because of stress in my life(which I don't have) and the other gave me medicine to treat helicobacter pylori, which d ..read more

In the midst of my first serous GERS attack with cough etc starting last weds night. Spent a few days eating oatmeal and rice being cross and malnourished. Happy to share that tonight I made myself a nice little soup. Penne pasta , canelli beans, carrots , peas, chicken breast simmered in (high protein , low fat) bone broth Might get crazy with a shake of Parmasan (hard cheese doesn’t tend to bother me). Bon appetit ! submitted by /u/Appropriate-Entry-32 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

28 year old female here. I have struggled a lot with anxiety and digestive issues. I was recently checked heart wise for any cardiac related issues with several ekgs, halter monitor for a week, echo cardiogram, and a stress test. Everything heart wise came back normal. So I then turned to my esophagus. I have overall been experiencing shortness of breath, (but I'm clearly getting air fine) tons of belching, chest pressure, severe anxiety, sore throat, and the worst part is that whenever I move...wether it be from a laying or sitting to a standing position I can feel my heart pounding out of m ..read more

like god damn. I ate a jar of pickles because I was super hungry and ended up with terrible reflux choking on my own thick saliva and unable to swallow. Could barely breathe i kept having esophagus spasms it felt like. I guess a regurgitation feeling. Felt like knives were erecting throughout my throat. submitted by /u/jessedamien [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi. So my doctor recommended that I taper off of Protonix since i’m getting better, and I was just wondering how I should go about that since I have the version that’s a 40mg packet of pellets because of my swallowing problems. Can anyone tell me the best way to taper? submitted by /u/phdjkvmg [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Regurgitations burning more intensely

I feel like my throat has a hole in it, and it feels so dry, that’s how bad the burning is, like the pain scale I reckon a 7-8/10 I’ve been regurgitating and it’s intense burning has been going on for a few days now, it’s only been like this as of recent. It wasn’t as painful as it is now. I literally can’t cope with burning at the back of my throat causing an acidic or disgusting taste/smell in my mouth. It’s taking a toll on me mentally and physically. Should I go see my personal doctor who diagnosed this for me or an endoscopist? submitted by /u/pexyatzer [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I just got an endoscopy done and they found a 7mm polyp and also I was diagnosed with Acute Gastritis, they say this is the reason why I feel early satiation GERD, and Dysphagia. Since its not related to H. Pylori they did a biopsy and im still waiting for the results. But its been 5 years since I started with this, ive been taking omeprazole and famotidine every day, i changed my lifestyle, i was a heavy smoker and i quit, never drank alcohol again, 5 small meals a day, avoiding trigger foods (sometimes i cheat) and I am really tired of this, I used to be a happy person now Im always depress ..read more

Anyone else have NERD?

I got diagnosed with NERD last august (probably from too much ibuprofen) and it showed no damage to the stomach or esophagus. I didn‘t adjust my diet until recently and with avoiding trigger food and nicotine and caffeine I don‘t have flair ups but I still have symptoms all the time (especially heartburn and burping). Can NERD be cured permanently with diet and medication? Can my LES still be weakend or is that not the case in non erosive reflux? submitted by /u/Responsible-Humor-55 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
