Hey everyone, I’ve just started my online a levels and am finding the vocabulary of law quite a big jump from GCSEs, does anyone have any good sources or recommendations to help this? or to help understand certain law vocab?
Also if anyone can help me understand customs and conventions that would be great ..read more

Hi everyone, so just received all my decisions yesterday and its not what I expected or hoped for, but honestly at this point into my gap year and reapplying I'm really not so bothered anymore, I just want to be happy and content where I end up in September.
So here are my options, I have a Durham offer and an offer for International law and globalisation in Birmingham. Whilst I know how much of an achievement it is to hold a Durham offer, I really do not know if it is the university for me, I've heard quite a few horr ..read more

I submitted my law coursework recently, but did not have time to write citations out properly. Everything from somewhere else had a citation, but it was in note form (my plan was to go back later but didn't have enough time) e.g. Wade pg 4. If it changes anything, for my first 7 citations, I have complete references, showing I know how to do it?!
We also had to do a bibliography, but I didn't do much of that either: copied and pasted the handful of citations I actually finished.
How many marks do you think will be deduc ..read more

I was rejected from Cambridge after interview (not surprised), Durham, York and now my first choice Bristol. I was offered by the Uni of Nottingham. I have A*AA predicted grades (Psychology, Maths, English Literature) and got 30/42 on my LNAT. I feel like, according to my grades and LNAT I have been a bit hard done by? Or maybe this isn’t the case? My friends have been offered by these uni’s and while I’m thankful for that, I can’t help but feel dejected and disheartened. Is Nottingham sti ..read more

Hi so I currently hold an offer from Queen Mary and the University of Manchester for Law (LLB), however I am struggling to make a decision between these two schools. On one hand Queen Mary seems to have a higher ranking for Law (according to QS rankings) than Manchester, and due to its location will likely be able to give me more opportunities to connect with the Law firms in London (especially Magic Circle firms).
However reading many forums and asking around, it seems that Queen Mary's reputation a ..read more

if i were to get predicated AAD(distinction) or A*AD(most likely wont happen) would i be eligible for a contextual offer? ive attended the same state school since i moved here, and ive been in receipt of free school meals since i joined the school. I also live alone with my mother, who has consistently earnt very little. i was wondering if they take other personal socioeconomic factors into account despite living in quite a middle class area + if i could get a contextual offer. thanks ..read more
