Problems with indoor trees

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my citrus tree (limonella or limequat, to be exact) and a potted carob tree. The citrus tree has sent several new shoots recently, but most of them have stopped growing after producing just one leaf (strictly speaking, only one shoot has developed normally). I used to have a problem with thrips and scales attacking this plant, but I believe I got rid of them. What may be the cause of such a stunted growth? These are the shoots which have stopped... recently chopped an unhealthy dracaena that seriously needs to be repotted[top cutting is in water right now, and i'm not even sure if the base of the stem will grow again. currently debating cuttting it even lower to try to reach healthy tisse, as it's hollow in the spot it was cut, but not soft, and it's still quite green]. the problem is, there's small little pups in the same pot. the new sprouts look great so far. i want them to have the best chance possible at surviving and growing... Philodendron leaves turning yellow

Hello, my philodendron plant was growing quite fast and has been quite healthy for the last 8-9 months. Suddenly the leaves have started turning yellow and falling off at an alarming rate since last month. It has become quite bare. I water the plant only when the top 1 inch of the soil feels very dry. I tried feeding it organic liquid fertilizer which my other plants react to quite well, but I see no improvement. Please help! Also, the temperatures here have risen to 36 degrees centigrade... Suspicious white crust on marantha
Gardening Forums » Indoor Plants

My marantha recently started having white crusty bits, like a hard powder. It emerges on some tips, edges, along a few vines and stems. It doesn't look like the plant is suffering so I wonder if it's just expelling excess minerals or is it something to worry about. I heard about guttation, but supposedly it occurs underneath marantha leaves, but this crust is not present there and it is not sticky at all. It also isn't present on my other two maranthas and according to official information... Read more ..read more

Money Tree - time to repot?
Gardening Forums » Indoor Plants

I've got a Money Tree, had it for a good number of years now, wondering if it's time to repot. It's in an 8" pot. The tree is 48" tall and about 20" wide. See photo. I think it's generally doing pretty well. Although as you can see, it's got some yellowing on the tips of its lower leaves. I think I've improved my watering methods over the years -- I only water when the top 1/2" of soil feels dry (also check with a water meter). I do some mild fertilizing with a liquid made for money... Read more ..read more

Help Needed: Rescue Mission for a Dying Fig Tree!

My sister is a beginner in maintaining potted plants. She bought herself a fig tree, but unfortunately, it's starting to die, well, it's almost completely dead already (I think). I don't have experience with this plant, so the only thing I could say is that maybe she overwatered it. She repotted it into a new pot with fresh soil, but no changes. Now she's trying to dry out the soil until the next watering, but I doubt it's going to fix the problem. Does anyone have any ideas on how to save... Read more ..read more

Monster Growth points
Gardening Forums » Indoor Plants

so I have this Monstera, it had lost most of its base leaves when i got it but I was able to grow out larger leaves on top. About a year ago it started budding new growth points from the base where the old leaves had been. Then a storm snapped it in half. Leaving me with a large top cutting and a leafless base with lots of roots and no leaves. Eventually the leaves grew and only the top growth point continued, then a couple weeks ago I moved it downstairs to get more light and noticed the... Read more ..read more
