The Grand Prix of the Americas came to an end with the MotoGP race on Sunday, which was characterised by the importance of tyre management and multiple crashes. Marc Márquez (Ducati) and Jorge Martín (Ducati) completed the podium for an intense 10-lap race. After two weeks off after the Portuguese Grand Prix, the MotoGP riders started the weekend with FP1, led by Maverick Viñales (Aprilia). In the afternoon the decisive practice took place. The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve held the MotoGP Sprint race on Saturday afternoon. After a total of 12 laps, with several crashes, Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) finally took the victory. Marc Márquez (Ducati) and Jorge Martín (Ducati) accompanied the Aprilia rider on the podium. With his first position, the Italian breaks the Gresini team’s winning streak at Lusail  -Bastianini in 2022 and Di Giannantonio in 2023. The first sprint race of the season was held under the floodlights of the Qatari circuit. In a short 11-lap race, Jorge Martín (Ducati) took a dominant victory over his rivals.
