I’m having a hell of a time getting the panels installed. I have the pan level on diagonals and across. I put the back panel on and one side and fits correctly. The second side panel does not fit in though. It seems so tight and doesn’t have enough room to fit in. It just doesn’t have a lot of room to play. I even removed the wall opposite the plumbing to give it more room and so I could see more but still can’t see what’s going on. Anyone have any tricks or installed one of these Lyons. It... Hi all, Not a "remodel" per se, but I am assuming some experts are present here who could give some insight. I am trying to finalize a layout for a master bath and was hoping someone could give some insight on the best options for laying it out. We already own the tub, toilet and vanity, so those aren't flexible. We'd also like to add a walk-in shower (as large as we can fit comfortably), but that sizing and design isn't finalized. Below is the space along with the toilet, tub & vanity... Bathroom Layout Ideas ..read more

Hi again folks. Here looking for some more advice with renovating my tub enclosure with tile. I have most of my cement backer board up. I'm in a pickle with how to deal with a unique situation with a window that sits within a wall to be tiled. I'm going to make this complicated as I don't know the framing terminology around a window. If you look at the picture, you will see there is a gap between the wall board and the window. I extended the wallboard beyond the studs framing in the window... Suggestions or leads to matching kitchen faucet and beverage faucet

Is anyone aware of a matching kitchen faucet + beverage faucet set? I'm aiming to upgrade both my kitchen faucet and beverage faucet, and I'd like for them to closely resemble each other. During the course of my recent product research, I can't seem to see any faucets marketed or sold as a set. In fact, many within the same vendor product line don't even look similar. I've already viewed Moen's product line as well as Delta's products, at length. I suspect the same finish from the same... Hello. A contractor installed my shower pan improperly. I have a new contractor coming to do it correctly, but I need to remove this shoer pan and get it ready. He did already set it in cement (or mortar?). How can I remove this? I am not worried about saving the shower pan, I just want it out ..read more

What shower system brand will be reliable, easy to repair and perform well? I've narrowed it down to Moen or Delta If I go with Moen it would be the Cia or Align trim controls. I don't know what valves are required. But i'm not sure if it can go to 2.5 gpm on the shower. Delta would be something that works with 17 or 17T valve. Apparently there are a few models with would allow more than 2gpm. What do you folks recommend ..read more

How Do I Fix This (Walls Not Square at tub) In Preparation For Tiling

The wall in my tub enclosure isn't square. At the front of the tub, the wall board meets the tub tile flange, but at the back, the wallboard is off at least 1/4 of an inch off. Any Advice no how I can fix this? I don't think I'll be able to tile to the tub enclosure edge like this. This is the left end of the tub. The right end (with the drain) lines up square with the tub and not an issue ..read more

Best way to refinish these cabinets?

We bought an older house with these wood cabinets. They are physically still strong, and I don't have the will or money to replace them, so I'm considering refinishing them. I don't want to do a chemical strip as it's way too messy and toxic, so is there a finish or treatment I can used on them? There are a couple of places with wear down to the wood like you see on the drawer that I know will need sanded, but not excited about sanding everything. Maybe I could sand the drawers and doors...
