Giving back is at the heart of everything we do. In addition to football, our league engages with other area non-profit organizations to donate time and resources to improve the lives of others. Since Kapiolani Park is not available to us on May 21st, the board decided to make this date a give back day. Our first community fundraiser was a smashing success. Thanks to the efforts of HIGFFL’s Alex Simpson and Jeff Hatterman, and Scarlet’s Marina DelRay, Jada Slay and 14 brave auctionees, we raised ~$10,000 for Gay Bowl XX. We were treated to an opening performance by CaraMel Flava who was then the first one up for auction. She strutted the runway and got some great opening bids. Thanks to all who came out to celebrate at the end-of-season Championship Party at Scarlet Honolulu on Saturday, June 22! There were cocktails, surprises and an all-around great time - and more joy for those who stayed later to see Alaska Thunderfuck’s performance!
