The American Management Association (AMA) surveyed 1,000 U.S. knowledge workers in a bid to recognize the impact that remote and hybrid work can have on employee development, advancement and overall success.

According to new data from SNS Insider, the workspace as a service (WaaS) market is expected to hit $25.24 billion by 2030. This achievement would mark a 16.52 percent CAGR over 2022’s $7.43 billion.

A data transmission of 301Tbps was reportedly achieved by researchers with Aston University in the U.K..
According to The Independent, this speed is believed to be 4.5X faster than average broadband, and was set by an international team of researchers employing optical fiber. It was noted that the milestone offers the equivalent of streaming 9,000 HD films in one second, and would theoretically support a one-minute download of every film listed on IBDb.
Current U.K. average broadband speeds top out at 69.4Mbps, per Ofcom.

A recent survey by Sleep Doctor examined the work habits of 807 remote and hybrid employees to determine how often they resort to “bed rotting.” With this trend, employees tend to remain in bed for extended periods as they conduct passive activities other than sleep.
In all, 62 percent of employees revealed bed rotting during their work hours, with 55 percent of remote and hybrid workers report remaining in bed at least weekly during the work week and four out of 10 spending 3+ hours sprawled out in bed. Executive coaching firm Perseus Coaching unveiled a new study in which it noted that about half of all corporate workers prefer spending at least some time operating out of a traditional, physical office.
This study – which polled 334 corporate U.S. employees across social media platforms such as Blind, Fishbowl and Reddit – allowed those surveyed to choose their preference between fully remote, hybrid and in-office arrangements.
Of note, hybrid and in-office selections placed second (45.51 percent), compared to fully remote (54.49 percent).
