We flew into Queenstown last Sunday landing through severe turbulence with people vomiting and holding onto the seats in front of them white knuckled. Ski Buddy and Yours Truly recently returned from 10 days in New Zealand so that seems like as good an excuse as any to write a few words and post our favourite pictures from the trip. It was our first visit there in five years thanks to Covid. Before that we used to go every year. Arrived back in Wanaka last night. Today skied Treble Cone. Conditions were actually pretty good given the rather poor season to date. Coverage in Main basin is still very poor off-piste but still a whole lot better than a couple of weeks again. The groomed trails are working quite well though. I've never skied NZ but my daughter is going to Queenstown for a week for work on the 12th Aug. So she is taking a week off to ski with 5 friends. They are 30ish, reasonably fit, intermediate to advanced, both skiers and boarders. Where would be their best bet? They have money so can hire a car or is the bus the best?
