Hello; Does anyone have any experience of these kit homes, or similar? kithomes.co.nz The price for the kit seems attractive. Kit homes suggest 2.5 times the kit price to get a rough idea of overall cost (we are interested in the "Juliet"). Is that realistic in the collective's experience? We would be getting qualified trades to do most/nearly all of the work. The pressure on our projected budget, however seems to be coming from the price of a plot, or "section". We are looking at Blenheim, Renwick, etc. any informed thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Best SS ..read more

Hi folks, NZ'r living in the UK for 10 years and considering wether to stay to pensionable age ( I'm currently 55 years old). Question. At the UK state pension age of 67 I would have had 20+ years of NI contributions, and thus qualifying me for state pension, but at maybe 60/70% of maximum pension i.e. I wont get the full UK state pension. I did 25 years working in NZ prior to moving to the UK. With the bi-lateral pension agreement between NZ and UK, can I add my NZ 25 years to the UK 20+ years , to receive the full 35 years of UK state pension at retriement age? Thanks for any help ..read more

Hi. I am in 'Accredited Employer Work Visa' since last 8 months and working with that employer who offered me the job for that visa. I am here with my husband who is on 'Partner of a Worker' Visa and is doing a full time contractor job since last 3 months. I also have 2 school going kids who are on 'Student Visa - Dependent of Worker' Visa. I have following question. After completing 24 months in my current Tier 2 employment (ANZSCO 241111), I am willing to apply for 'Work to Residence' visa with my 2 kids who will be younger than 24 years at that time. 1) Can I apply for 'Work to Residence ..read more

Hi, we are a family of 5 (me husband and 3 children), currently looking into moving to New Zealand. My husband is a roofer and I was a dental nurse but unfortunately left a few months before qualifying due to illness. We are looking for a licensed advisor or anybody to help us start the process for applying and how the point system works as we don’t have a job offer or enough points or a skilled job. Any advice on where to look or how to start the whole process? I’m currently at university doing a nursing degree but by the time I graduate my eldest will be 17-18 and doesn’t want to move so thi ..read more
