This is what the back of the watch looks like "Stainless Steel 3ATM WATER RESISTANT". The inside of this watch has the name "Lacher" which I understand is a German watch manufacturer who also goes by the name Laco. I have actually found one Lacher watch which has a very similar looking dial as seen below ..read more

Hi, I have this vintage Raymond Weil from around the 50`s I think. I Removed the case so I could clean the inside of the crystal. I was careful to support the crystal when applying pressure from inside, but clearly not enough. The crystal popped out. It is not completely flat and has a ridge on all 4 sides. It takes pressure to push it back in the case but once fixed I am not confident that it will stay in place. I am thinking of using glue but all I have at present is super glue. Should a... snap or glue ..read more

Hi, I have just got this Bulova from ebay and want to remove the back. I have used the correct tool but that doesnt work. I have tried a box cutter but that wont shift it either. I must be careful as I dont want to lever against one of the lugs and break it off. Are there any "tricks of the trade" that wil open a vintage watch. TIA ..read more

Here is a watch that I'm giddy about getting: GG-W-113 (New old stock no less) and here is a MIL-W-46374B fixer upper thats special because it was issued in 1979 (my birth year). i was looking for the more desired MIL-W-46374 (D) version, but decided it wasn't worth spending so much more. i remember being a little kid in the 80's and... Hello. My parents passed away recently and we have been sorting through all of their belongings. I found this Lord Elgin watch and I am having trouble finding any information about it. It still works, though I haven't tested it for an extended period of time. I haven't decided if I want to sell it or keep it as a memento. I guess that depends on if it actually has any value. It's so hard trying to figure out what to keep and what to sell. I'm always worried I'll sell something and then... Stainless Steel Lord Elgin 25 Automatic Identification Help ..read more
