I just got a nice old Rado, maybe Silver Horse. The dial says Silver Horse.When I search the reference number, I get an image from Birth Year Watches of a 1977 Rado Stag. The cases match up but his is a Stag Horizontal Day-Date. Mine says Silver Horse with Vertical Day Date. So I figure mines been Frankied and start looking for parts for restoration... Yesterday I took possession of this family heirloom mantle clock. The story I'm told is it was originally my great grandparents - they received it as a wedding gift. I don't know the year but I do know their only child (Eva, my grandmother) was born in 1908. So I'm speculating the wedding would have been around 1907. I picked up this interesting (to me at least) Swiss Camy at a vintage fair at the weekend for a few pounds. It's a gold plated finish, stainless steel back, and is marked antimagneic and waterproof (I appreciate it won't be now) If anyone can shed any light on it I'd be most grateful, especially a year.
