In a about a month the Classified Series HasLab campaign will begin with the teasing of the product. I predict that it will be the COBRA Rattler. I'm basing this prediction on the strength that ACE, (the GI jOE Action Pilot and not Brad J. Armbruster,) has already been announced and I'm assuming that (with the exception of the helmet,) there's going to be a lot of shared tooling between the Action Pilot and WILD WEASEL.As with the Dragonfly the base offering will be the Rattler, WEASEL, the Rattler's armaments, blast effects, stickers, a flight stand, and electronics.Stretch Goal 1 will be the ..read more

This isn't an opinion piece, but more of a question. Since the retro line has been expanded to being in all the b&ms and available via fan channels does that mean going forward the main Classified will go back to being modern updates of the figures classic looks while the retro line be the home the 6" version of the figures iconic looks.I think it's fair to had the retro series been a thing that QUICK KICK, SHIPWRECK, and possibly TORPEDO would have been retro carded. As far as who's next for the retro card treatment my guess would be FLINT, BLUDD, LT. FALCON, v2 ROADBLOCK, and the COBRA Of ..read more

Being that it's now two lines in the Classified Series going forward is the main Classified Series line going to be what it was intended to be (and that is,) a modern update of the figures. While the retro line will be reserved for the figures classic and most iconic looks? It think it's fair to say that if QUICK KICK, BAZOOKA, TUNNEL RAT, SHIPWRECK, TORPEDO and FIREFLY were released today that the versions of the figures we got would have been in the retro line.Personally, I'd line to see a retro inspired SHOOTER, COBRA Trooper, COBRA officer and I'm guessing that RIP CORD, ROCK 'N ROLL and CR ..read more

I was listening to the What's On JOE Mind? archives on Podbean. In Episode #98, (air date December 20, 2014,) Gary, Mike, Justin, and Chuck had a rather spirited discussion on 6" JOEs. Chuck was all for there being a 6" JOE while surprisingly Mike, Justin, and Gary didn't support the idea of a 6" JOE line because they thought a 6" JOE line would brick for the following reasons1) G.I. JOE is a vehicle line. Vehicles for 1:12 scale figures are far and few between and you can't have a JOE line without vehicles.2) The JOE fandom is too small to support 6" inch JOE. Gary's rationale was that after ..read more
