Good day, I am a woman who was diagnosed at 44 with ovarian cancer while trying for a child - clear cell in an ovarian cyst. Had surgery in 10 months ago and am dealing with the menopause that comes from surgical radical hysterectomy and ovary removal and a lot of crap behavior from family and a lot of friends disappearing. Had some friends and one family member really come through - but far less than I had anticipated. Cancer is wild - brings mortality right up and close and then I am listed now as cancer free and everyone else is happy - but I'm left with this emotional hole and a lot of an ..read more

33F, diagnosed Dec 2019 & finished treatment cycles Sept 2021 (COVID delays)... I was originally NED remission status (No Evidence of Disease) but was advised to add a low dose half cycle of chemo since my ascites & cysts were slow to resolve. I handled cisplatin/taxotere well & used a Penguin ice cap to reduce hair loss. But this time I'm reacting badly to the Emend anti-nausea infusion at each round. Lower dose titration &/or Bendaryl doesn't help & I can't tolerate the chemo without a anti-nausea infusion. Any tips? TIA

I am 23 and I used to have lots of random pain when I was a teen and no one really knew why. After a scan I was told I had a small cyst and that it wasn’t dangerous but that I would need to keep an eye on it because it might be a sign of ovarian cancer in the future. For many reasons I never got it checked again. I have now booked a GP appointment to talk with a doctor but I don’t know if I am just being paranoid. I have history of Ovarian and breast cancer in my family, I have been feeling really bloated and random pain in my lower stomach (not due to my period). I sometimes feel pain in my ..read more

UPDATE (March 22): It seems the sub is restricted for posting now? Anyway, wanted to give an update on my situation. I finally met with the oncologist and she told me that in my case, I am cancer free and treatment is done since the gynaecologist performed all the necessary parts of the staging surgery for me. She said it's fine to keep my other ovary and uterus (fertility sparing surgery). The cancer was caught very early, and was only spotted in a few tiny areas in the ovary, most of the mass was borderline/benign. Stage 1A confirmed. It was okay that the tumour had a controlled draining, a ..read more
