At this point in their career, I think we as fans are not expecting another full length album from the band. Between the amount of time they spend on touring and Axl not having as quick of a turn around time as Slash and Duff when it comes to releasing new material, we know it won’t realistically happen. I just rediscovered Chinese Democracy and I can't enough of this album (and all the adjacent unreleased stuff that has leaked over the years). I feel like the band was really executing Axl's vision of updating and expanding the original GN'R sound. And the songs and performances are just crazy good all across the board. So I've been reading a lot about the album's creation and the plans to release a trilogy of albums, and I also found a comment by Bumblefoot from 2014 where he mentioned that the band hadn't recorded any new music since CD.
