Right before Christmas we decided to take a family getaway to Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico. This was the first time since the pandemic started that we all took a flight together. It was also Valentina’s (our 2 year-old) first flight. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time and it was a much needed vacation, even abuela came along.
Cancun was also the perfect spot, just a 1 hour and 45 minute flight from Miami. Once we arrived at the airport, the resort was a quick 15 minute drive, making it ideal for traveling with kids or on weekend getaways. We also fel ..read more

And just like that our little girl is two years old. We celebrated her birthday last month at home with a unicorn themed birthday party. Even though we planned something small, I still wanted it to feel extra special. We worked with an amazing group of vendors in Miami that were able to make our vision come to life.
I love the trend of pop-up picnics so decided to incorporate this into the party. We used My Little Party for the picnic setup. They brought everything from the picnic tables, pillows, teepees, cutlery to unicorn stuffed animals. I highly recommend them. They're amazing ..read more

Last week, I had the opportunity to check out the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit in Miami. It's an immersive exhibit that uses cutting-edge technology to bring you into the world of Van Gogh. The exhibit features projections of 300 of the artists' work including classics from The Starry Night to Sunflower. The art wraps and flows not only around the walls, but on the floors as well and gives you the feeling of being inside one of his masterpieces. I love that it's set to a symphonic score using the artist's own dreams, thoughts and words to drive the experience as a narrative.
It's also th ..read more

A few weeks ago, I took a little road trip to Tampa for work. This was my first time traveling anywhere in more than 8 months since Covid. It definitely felt nice to be out of the house, even if it was just for a few days. I decided to stay at an airbnb so I wouldn't have to eat out at a restaurant and could just make all my food at the house.
One of the highlights from my road trip was test driving the all-new 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer for the weekend. I was really impressed with how smooth it drove.
It's a 5 passenger subcompact SUV with roomy seating and cargo space ..read more

Last year, I put together a list of my must-have baby registry items. Now that Valentina turned one, I thought I'd share an update on some of my favorite baby gear and toys.
*You can shop all of my favorite baby items on my Amazon storefront where I update it regularly.
SLEEPING
Sleep Sack: Valentina has been using this hands-free sleep sack from Kyte baby and I absolutely love it. It's made from the softest material and breathable fabric. The humming bird print is also adorable. I don't have to worry about Valentina getting cold at night without using a blanket in ..read more

Looking for fun ways to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this year? Here are 5 tips to celebrate right at-home.
FOOD: Support a local Latino-owned small business by ordering take-out from your favorite spot for arepas, enchiladas or empanadas and set up a buffet-style feast in your very own dining room for the whole family to enjoy. If you really want to celebrate all Hispanic nationalities, order from multiple restaurants, and have dishes from every Hispanic country.
DRINKS: No celebration is complete without the perfect cocktail! Earlier this year, The Glenlivet launched ..read more

Next week marks 5 years that my late husband, Fernando passed away. It feels like it was yesterday, yet a lifetime ago all at once. I wanted to finally share my story, not for pity (eww) but in hopes that one day it will make its way to someone going through loss and help them feel less alone. I remember scouring the internet for hours trying to find other stories similar to mine. I didn’t find much, but the ones that I did find helped me so much. So here’s my story. Our story. It’s a story of love, cancer, loss, but most importantly it’s a story of hope and faith. You are not alone ..read more

If you've been following me for a while now, you'll know that about 5 years ago I completely switched all my beauty products to non-toxic and clean products. I didn't stop there, I also switched to non-toxic household cleaning supplies and even make most of them myself. For me health starts not only with what you put inside your body, but also what you put ON your body. Here are a few of my favorite beauty products that I've been using during quarantine:
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum: I can't say enough great things about this Vitamin C Serum. You've probably seen me b ..read more

Hi guys, with the recent shortages of hand sanitizer during this coronavirus pandemic, I'm so excited to share that I've launched my own line of hand sanitizer in stock now. It's made using the approved WHO (World Health Organization) formula including 80% alcohol and added organic lavender oil for a soothing scent. It comes in a 2 oz. fl spray so it's perfect for on-the-go. You can pack it in your purse, keep it in your car or just have it handy when soap and water are not available. It also exceeds the CDC recommendations for alcohol percentage, which is a minimum of 60%.
