with Mikayla and Cookie This Equine Graduation Photo Session with Mikayla and Cookie was so fun! As it turns out, Mikayla is one of the sweetest people and Cookie is her pride and joy. All in all, the makings of a great session right from the start. However, the wind really picked up as soon as we started. Not to be deterred, Mikayla is quite the cowgirl. Since her a Cookie have such a long standing relationship, the wind was not a problem for either of them. While the pair used to barrel race at Cal Poly together, Cookie is currently enjoying her well-earned retirement. Which is why it was su ..read more

With Britt and Louie in Santa Barbara This Equine Beach Photo Shoot with Britt and Louie in Santa Barbara was simply perfect. Where there’s perfect light, there’s a happy photographer. Obviously a perfectly partnered horse and rider pair are the cherry on top. While Louie and Britt used to do Three-Day Eventing together, they keep it in the dressage court these days. Naturally, Louie is quite the fancy prancer. Even on the beach! While we were setting out to shoot a few images for Celeris UK, I was ecstatic when Britt brought a portion of her wedding dress to the session. Moreover her dress wa ..read more

with Sasha and Amoudi Bay This session is the epitome of Central Coast Equestrian Photography in my humble opinion. A beautiful girl, a heart felt bond with her horse, and golden light on a vineyard. Therefore I’d be a happy gal if all my days included sunshine, beautiful horses and girls that love them. Sasha has a wonderful relationship with her horse Amoudi Bay. Additionally he happens to be named after a particular bay in Greece where Sasha has traveled to with her family. Naturally, he goes by Moody for short. Moody and Sasha had Sasha’s mom and best friend to help out with the session an ..read more

with Sherrie and Beretta I went to a familiar place for this Morro Bay Equine Shoot with Sherrie and Beretta. Moreover, you may recognize the ranch from her daughter’s wedding. Or perhaps from the equine session I did with Shannon and Wick? Or Maybe Shannon and Devin’s engagement session? Either way, many beautiful times have been had at the family’s ranch. However this time it was mama’s turn. As a sweet thank you her mom, Shannon purchased an equine photo session with me for her mom. Rodeo runs deep in this family. Since dad is steer wrestling NFR legend, mom barrel races and sister Katie ba ..read more

with Shayna, Grey and Elliott This Central Coast Equine Photo Session was nothing short of magical. Further proof that amidst a crazy world, there is beauty everywhere. Especially when horses are involved. I was thrilled when Shayna reached out for a photo session. Especially since she wanted to include her older gelding as a surprise for her family. Due to the covert operation of this session, Shayna had to think of a good excuse to pick up Grey from her family in another county. Luckily branding season provided the perfect cover. If you know me, you know I LOVE grey horses. As fate would hav ..read more

Sierra and Nelson I am obsessed with the color palette from this San Luis Obispo Equine Photography session. Since Sierra had recently dyed her hair a gorgeous rose gold – the Do’ was FRESH. Obviously the color went well with her skin tone and outfit selections. Additionally, her shiny bay boy accented everything perfectly. Luckily, we had a stunning Spring sunset evening. Which completed the dreamy rosie glow to the day. This San Luis Equine Photography sessions was one of my favorite from the year. Sierra’s mom reached out to me a few months prior to our session together. Naturally we picked ..read more

with Shae, Buddy and Faith I loved this Senior Equine Photography Session with Shae, Buddy and Faith at the Fairlea Ranch in Exeter, California. Shae is such a light in this world and I consider myself honored to have been a part of her graduation experience. Senior Equine Photography Sessions will always have my heart. Since this is something I did not experience myself. Mostly due to the fact that I bought my first horse after graduation! Additionally, Equine Photography was not as prevalent during my graduation time. Honestly, I doubt I even considered it. Which is why I am SO grateful that ..read more

with Kasey and Baloo at Trinity Eventing This Buellton Horse Photography Session with Kasey and Baloo at Trinity Eventing happened on a very blustery day. In spite of the strong winds, we had a fabulous time and got some awesome images. Naturally, Kasey is an accomplished horsewoman which certainly helped given the weather conditions. To illustrate, Baloo is over 16 hands and Kasey handles him with ease. For that reason, I would love to see them on the Cross Country course someday. Kasey and Baloo train in Buellton under the guidance of Trinity Eventing. Obviously Trinity is a lovey facility a ..read more

with Buck Wild Rags This Western Wild Rags Photoshoot with Buck Wild Rags in Bakersfield, Ca showcased working cowboys and cowgirls in their element. Naturally when Sharon from Buck Wild Rags reached out and wanted an authentic western session, I was game. While I love that wild rags have become a western fashion statement and can be worn by all, I do appreciate the ranchy roots of the garment. Therefore this Western Wild Rags Photoshoot checked all the boxes. Since Sharon’s daughter and son in law were in town, they made the perfect ranch models. Alongside their close friends from a neighbori ..read more

with Sunset and Blake This Dressage Horse Photography Session with Sunset and Blake was everything I hoped for. Sunset is a truly stunning horse. Furthermore, the relationship that Blake and Sunset enjoy is nothing short of stellar. Naturally the pair ride and compete in dressage under the guidance of Core Equestrian. Moreover, if I had my druthers I would photograph Dressage Horse Photography Sessions for the rest of my life. Obviously, there is something to be said for the presence of a dressage horse. For one thing, they are natural showmen. I feel like they love to show off their skills an ..read more
