The Sliabh League Adventure Run Weekend takes place on May 6th / 7th. We asked event organiser Eunan Quinn from Excel Sports 5 questions about the event and what participants can expect.   Q1 – Last year was the first year of the event, how did it go? Last week, in the Phoenix Park, football players from rival League of Ireland clubs Shelbourne FC, Shamrock Rovers and Bohemian FC put their differences aside and came together to support their local Simon Community’s 39th annual 5-mile charity race. The theme for this year’s Phoenix Park race, which takes places on October 1st , is “45 minutes of hope”; the idea being that a five-mile run takes approximately 45 minutes to complete, the same length as half a football match.
