Hi my baby is 2weeks and my milk supply has took a major drop.. the first week everything was great wit his deeds and pumping in between when he would sleep longer than expected.. this week I can barely get him to stay woke to feed for a good 10 mins and when I pump I’m not getting over 1 oz per breast.. My baby girl is 14 weeks old and EBF. She has never been a great sleeper and on a good night will get up 3-4 times to feed. A couple weeks ago she found her thumb, and while she would use to soothe herself during the day, she could never really put herself to sleep with it through the night. Yes I’m horrible at naming my threads... sorry. anyways, I’m a first time mommy. Breastfeeding seems to be a challenge for me. My baby is 4 days old. My DD (4yrs old) is very poorly with high fever and a terrible cough ( did a pcr test but it was negative). I was mildly ill as well and breastfed newborn is doing well so I was thinking if it would help DD if I expressed a glass of milk for her in the morning every morning till she got better? she has had pneumonia a few times and I think here she is really on the borderline of developing it and wouldn’t want her to be sick over Christmas when she is looking forward to it so much. so... Ok, so when I was 26 and 29 I BF my 2 babies easily and they gained perfectly, weaned each at 18 months. Then when I was 31 I had my 3rd baby, and for about 1 month she gained really well. Then slowly without my realizing it my supply dropped. At 7 months she was barely getting anything and was in the 5th percentile. The pediatrician told me to wean her and start formula immediately.
