Back in the day, a little horse named Thunder and I were quite the dynamic duo. We'd set up makeshift jump fields in the paddock, using lawn chairs and precariously balanced 2x4s. Who needed a saddle? Not us! Sure, we'd occasionally end up eating a bit of dirt, but those tumbles probably toughened me up for the small business journey ahead of me in life. It takes daily grit to run this small photography business after all!
Photographing Kendall and Star brought back a flood of memories from my Thunder days. Maybe it was their strikingly similar coat color, both being tobianos. Or perhaps it w ..read more

The most gorgeous light and sweetest little horse!
Having the chance to photograph Josie and her horse, Whisper, was an absolute dream come true! I had previously worked with Josie during my Horses on the Beach Photography Event the year before, where she shone as a model. Her appreciation for photography and its power to capture moments with horses was evident.
So, when Josie reached out about a session with her young horse, I was intrigued. I asked her, "What is the most important thing you hope to achieve from a personal equine and equestrian photography session with Fast Horse Photograph ..read more

A Chapter in a Horse Girls Life Closes at Sunset
In the peaceful fields of Peak Performance Horses located in St. Augustine, FL, I had the privilege of capturing a pivotal moment for Lily, a young woman about to embark on her college journey at FSU, leaving behind her favorite lesson horses. As a passionate equestrian, Lily has spent countless hours in the company of two horses, Willow and Murphy, forging bonds and learning lessons about life that go beyond the pasture.
Our session was set against the backdrop of a stunning sunset by a scenic pond, offering a serene setting to celebrate Lily ..read more

Family and Horses at Peak Performance
On a warm…. ok HOT, sunshine filled day at Peak Performance Horses in St. Augustine, FL, I had the distinct pleasure of capturing a session that felt deeply personal to me. It was more than just a photoshoot; it was a bit of a mirror to my own childhood memories, showcasing the bond between family members and their horses. This day with Kelly, her daughter Ava, husband David, and their adorable dogs, Beatrice and Archie, was a beautiful reminder of the connections that horses foster between us.
Growing up, horses were the heartbeat of my family, especiall ..read more

Honor Your Senior Horse's Enduring Spirit and Companionship
The bond between an equestrian and their horse is a timeless and heartfelt journey. It's in these silent, profound communications that the true essence of companionship is found. At a gorgeous little horse stable in Eustis, FL, a sunrise photography session was the highlight of my day. This session, which I am so late in posting, has remained vivid in my mind, and I am thrilled to finally share the experience and a couple of the stunning wall art pieces that emerged from our creative collaboration.
The peaceful morning with MAC Equestrian began just as the fog gracefully lifted, revealing a radiant sun filtering through the old Florida oak trees. It was more than a photography session; it was a celebration of the hard work and bond created between a girl and her hors ..read more

From Artful Portraits to Liberty Shots
I’m so excited to finally be able to share a recent Fast Horse Photography equine photography session, featuring Jacqueline and her Friesian horse, Excalibur. As a photographer I immediately fell in love with his impressive mane and tail which I know must be so much work for Jackie to maintain and keep is such gorgeous condition.
Our session unfolded in Fernandina Beach, FL, beginning with studio portraits against a black background we created in a nearby barn. These initial shots highlighted the striking features of Excalibur and Jacqueline's connectio ..read more

Set in St. Augustine, FL, at Ash N' Oaks Stable, I had the pleasure of capturing Lydia and her Texas cow horse, Whiskey in a photography session that was both vibrant and intimate. This day was set apart by Lydia's stunning choice of attire and the natural beauty of our green Florida backdrop.
Lydia chose the most gorgeous red dress for the session, paired with a western cowboy hat and boots. This look gave her a glamorous yet rustic cowgirl appeal, and beautifully reflected her rosie personality and complemented Whiskey's ranch horse roots.
Joining Lydia and Whiskey were her boyfriend, Tyl ..read more

I recently had the privilege of working with a remarkable young equestrian named Ashlyn and her beloved horse, Spade, in the picturesque St. Johns, Florida. This session was a true celebration of the bond between rider and horse, set against the backdrop of a beautiful afternoon in Spade's pasture.
One of the key elements of a successful equine photography session is ensuring that both the equestrian and their four-legged companion feel comfortable and at ease. For Ashlyn and Spade, we chose to hold the session right in Spade's pasture. This decision allowed the pair to be in their element ..read more

Creative Consultation - A Vision Comes to Life
Several weeks before the actual photography session, I had the pleasure of visiting Christina at her beautiful home in an equestrian community in Eustis, Florida. During our creative consultation, Christina shared her vision for her equine portraits. She showed me the specific space in her home where she hoped to display the portraits of her beloved horses. We took pictures of the wall space and measurements, ensuring that the artwork we were about to create would not only fit perfectly but also enhance the beauty of her home.
