Hello y’all I just bought myself a Lionel legacy polar railroad K4 and received it today it’s minimum curve is 42 but I thought I could get away with 36 with straight sections in between each curve I wasn’t running it hard and it started making a grinding sound I’m stressed that I just broke it but while running it on 72 it’s gone just need lubercate or should I open her up to see what’s wrong I have no idea how much this loco has been run but it seems to not been run often plz help me out ..read more

I've posted several different times on various subject threads,...
What about those red plastic gears? I seem to find a lot of these red gears on European trains,....and no big complaints about them cracking???
Are they some special plastic?

Hi,
Using roco z21 (black one) on a club layout. Problem is 10 wifi client limitation. According to roco its because their harware is not fast enough to handle more than 10 wifi clients.
My idea is to use a esp8266 module (way faster than z21) connected to the the x-bus to control the layout. So we can use the full 32 controllers wireless if needed.
I can't imagine i'm the only one with this problem, nor the only one to think about this solution. Somebody smarter than me must have made...

Do ya have friends who try to tell you how important it is to model your railroad the way they would like it?
I have a friend who has ideas of how the modular groups I'm a member of should change the layout to FreeMo. Also, he wants us to change our Digitrax OS to ESU and replace our turnouts with Fast Tracks turnouts. He claims the ESU will work so much better because it discovers all locomotives on the layout. ???!!!??!!!?? I'm still not sure how that will enhance our day of running...
