One of the first things anyone can learn about Dawn is that she is a proud mom. “My son Andre’ is a freelance photographer for The Reader. I am so proud of his photography and journalism, his artwork has graced the cover of The Reader many times,”. Before launching regular operations, Omaha LoCo Delivery participated in the Douglas County Meal Program, delivering 7,000 family meals to more than 30,000 people. Funded by a $500,000 grant from Douglas County Commissioners, the program delivered food to Omahans in need and helped employ restaurant workers during COVID-19.
