Why do it get this error message on AS400 and no error message on physical printer.
Message : A paper jam has occurred on device SNBDPRT25xx
Cause : An error was detected on device. This was caused by a paper ja. Look at the printer to determine the cause of the problem.
My Question :
1. Do you have any thoughts on why they would be seeing this message when there is no issue on printer?
2. Is there something we can do to fix this error message? So that it doesn't comes up next time while releasing the job ?

We have a Xerox Versant 180 printer. The network scanning function was working great until a week and half ago. All of a sudden it was asking for a login and password. This was saved in the network scanning settings for over 2 years now. I have created new scan settings. But still not working.
The EFI server scan settings were working too but now it is also asking for a name and password.
Our local Xerox dealer can't seem to fix it either. Is there a way to reset the printer hardware back to factory settings?

The machine work well but only when print or copy the first copy is good and clear
The 2nd copy give two band color magenta and yellow always same place and same shape no difference
The attach can describe the problem hope someone can help

More of a rant than anything, but i'm not sure what Xerox was thinking when they decided to make the "Admin" username case sensitive. All of their online help guides state it as "admin" with a lowercase A at the start. After trying several passwords for half an hour and getting locked out constantly, i finally though "you know what, lemme try a capital A in Admin really quick", Sure enough, it bloody worked.
It shouldn't matter if the "A" in admin is capital or not. Why is this even a thing? I understand for passwords, that makes sense. but usernames? No. STUPID!!!

If anyone is running into the issue with print/copy jobs not offsetting on the new C8155 copiers, I have found a resolution. In the print configuration settings, you can turn off a setting called "Conditional Finisher offset" which conflicts with "Offsetting between Print Jobs".. From the webpage for the Copier
Steps
1.Login as Admin
2. Click "Properties"
3. Click the "Apps" menu
4. Click the "Printing" menu
5. Click "General"
6. Scroll down on the page to see the on/off drop down

Windows 10 and Windows 11 clients printing direct to the printer on the network. When using the Xerox Desktop Experience, and printing to tray 1, users always get this notification. After a few seconds another notification appears with "Job successful" and printing works. This printer only has Tray 1 and the Bypass tray.
Any idea on how to stop this notification?
If I uninstall the "Desktop Experience" and leave only the drivers, no issue. However the users want the job notifications to show ..read more

Altalink C8045 - unable to print SAP Barcode
I contacted Xerox Support, not much help here are the details:
- unable to print any bar codes from SAP to this printer
- downloaded the Xerox Font Management utility
- via the utility i uploaded barcode fonts and CCode_39
- rebooted printer, still not working
- when printing from SAP, letter "X" shows up
- ALTALINK: does it matter if i use PCL or PS drivers (on a print server)
