Hello,
I hope you can understand my english writing but it is long ago since I went to school...
Today I have a message on my printer display "Slowdown for cooling temporarily activated"
and all prints are very smeared.
I turn the printer off for 5 hours and now, it is printing very well without any message.
What kind of message is it and what could be wrong ?
I´ve print over 10 years with differend XEROX Printer (Colorqube 8900, 2400 etc.)
and I´ve never had a message like this before.

I've activated network accounting on my printer (Xerox Altalink C8135). However, I can't change the "Capture usage" value for scanning to USB in the "Accounting workflow" menu (see screenshot below)

My non-techy neighbour has purchased a Phaser 3600DN printer at auction. It is now giving him a
SMPS FAN LOCKED
error. The advice he fins is to turn off, wait and restart, but the error message returns. I have a feeling that it went to auction for that reason but if I can help him with a fix I can do the labour.
Any suggestions or a possible source for a relevant replacement board woudl be appreciated.

I know there have been multiple posts about this, but I'm posting AFTER the MSoft repair tool was released and AFTER the new Xerox versions were released.
I'm building a fresh PC.
- the Microsoft tool tells me the metadata package is not found.
- Smart Start v1.9.14.0 installs and I can print.
- Xerox Desktop Print and Scan Experience v8.110.9.0_x64 runs but creates no menu shortcut.
- I can install XPSE from the windows app store but there are fewer options than in the XPSE that already exists on older computers. Specifically missing are PDF Printing, Device Settings and Print Queue Sett ..read more

Timeline
This site should switch to Read-Only mode on February 10th.
Existing content on this site will be migrated to the new Forum site starting on the 10th.
