Hi All, Greetings of the day ! I have one RHEL EC2 instance running nginx listening to port 80. I have defined commands and service check in host config file to monitor this host. After running below command manually, I could see it's working perfectly. ./check_tcp -H 13.233.117.236 -p 80 -w 10 -c 20 TCP OK - 0.001 second response time on 13.233.117.236 port 80|time=0.001162s;10.000000;20.000000;0.000000;10.000000 But on GUI it shows an error like below, i tried to see port 80 is open in firewall so what can be reason here ? connect to address 127.0.0.1 and port 0: Connection refused. Nagios Log Server • Server migration

I have a single instance license. I need to migrate that instance to another server that will support the latest version of the software. I tried connecting to the old instance, but was restricted in what I could do, so I backed it out. I have not been able to find any documentation on the how to accomplish this. I want to try to retain as much from the old instance as possible. Old system: CentOS: 7.9.2009 Nagios Log Server: 2.1.15 New system: Debian 11 bullseye Nagios Log Server: 2024R1.0.1 What is the best way to proceed? You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near ''c','r', This part seems suspicious to me. I'm trying to toggle on the (c)ritial, (r)recovery, and (w)arning notification options. It seems to expect another variable due to the (,) but maybe the message is truncated...idk. I don't think that would be related to the PHP upgrade, but I could be wrong. Can anyone else on the latest version test this for me? Thanks for the reply @jmichaelson. So, the plot thickens...I have this same issue on my migrated version... I'm not sure if this is because I upgraded PHP on centos 7 before migrating to Ubuntu 22.04, or if this is an unrelated issue...Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions? Hiya, I've recently configured an LDAP service in Google Enterprise but can't seem to get it to work...Has anyone had success with this? I've attached a screenshot of my settings (with the domain switched to example.com). Screenshot 2024-04-26 at 2.26.17 PM.png Whenever I go to import/add users via LDAP I have tried logging in with my Google creds as well as the LDAP access creds I generated in Google but I only get 'Invalid Username'... I've configured the LDAP service to have full read access to everything. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong here? (Latest version of Nagios - 2024R1.1.2 ..read more

Hi naggyohs, Thanks for your response. The links which you have provided are for NagiosXi not for Nagios Core. I want to know how to perform OS migration for the servers in which Nagios core is installed not NagiosXi. Apologies, I misunderstood. You posted this in the Nagios XI section. You should post in viewforum.php?f=7 if you're using the free/opensource version. Statistics: Posted by naggyohs — Fri Apr 26, 2024 7:21 pm ..read more

I believe you'll run into issues if you try to use Mariadb on OEL 8.9. It will certainly try to install but I think it will fail. I believe mariadb is only supported on the EL 7's and only MySQL in the 8 and 9 versions. I think this is because the two started diverging and Nagios chose to stick with MySQL. You shouldn't have issues restoring from RHEL 7 to Oracle 8 (I'm assuming OEL means Oracle Enterprise Linux) when you have the same versions. Let me know if you run into issues doing a restore. Most likely it is. As Centos 7 is going to be EOL on June 30, I'm glad to see you're testing it in a newer distro of Linux. That was going to be my first suggestion. Can you tell us if you're experiencing this problem on your Ubuntu 22 test system? If not making the cutover might be the easiest solution. Let us know!
