Bob Costas '74 grew up idolizing New York Yankees' Hall of Fame outfielder Mickey Mantle, and he loved listening to baseball on the radio. Little did Costas realize that, when he came to Syracuse University in the fall of 1970, he was embarking on a broadcasting career that would see him win 28 Emmy Awards, call 12 Olympics, and cover multiple World Series, Super Bowls and NBA Finals.
