In its 14th year, the Rogue Raid returned to where it all began with an epic 24 hour rogaine format adventure race in the Somerset region surrounding Lake Wivenhoe.  A bumper field of almost 160 athletes from across Australia and New Zealand were challenged with an unfinishable course that spanned over 260km of trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and swimming. With just over a week to go before teams are launched from the start line of the 14th edition of the Rogue Raid, it’s time to take a look over the course and the competition that will be pushing for victory.  Over 150 competitors will converge in the Somerset region with teams from all along the east coast of Australia and as far away as New Zealand and Hong Kong. The Urban Rogue celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a bumper field of almost 100 teams. The race continues with strong support from the rogaining community as the unofficial end of year break up, with plenty of colourful characters out on the course. To mix things up for the 10 year edition, those familiar with the Urban Rogue will note that we mixed up the map to drop sections of the course north of Herston, but to now take in the New Farm area which proved to a popular change. After almost 100 hours of challenging and technical adventure racing, team Thought Sports crossed the finish line to discover they were the winners of the second edition of the Raid 100. The Raid 100 is the world’s only rogaine-format, expedition-length adventure race.
