On June 17, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) released the monstrous 1,400+ page for Ørsted & PSE&G’s “Ocean Wind 1” 98-turbine wind energy project. A 45-day public comment period started on June 24 and ends on August 8. BOEM will conduct 3 virtual public meetings (July 14, 20, and 26). BOEM issued the bare minimum requirement for the public to comment on the DEIS. Forty-five days is not enough time to adequalely review and respond to the DEIS for Ocean Wind 1. ..read more
