Hello! I and family are of an age where we have lots of unarchived hard-copy family photos that we're busy scanning piecemeal. The generation above us has very limited experience with any form of tech and my generation have multiple devices/platforms. I'm having issues accessing my Synology NAS from my local network. When I try to connect, I receive a warning that the connection is not private, and the website might be trying to steal my personal or financial information. I've attached a screenshot showing the warning message. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Hi, I'm currently using about 15 different hard drives (most WD HC550, Toshiba MG and a few older ones) with two NAS DS1821+ and DS418. I bought a new WD HC550 18TB in the winter (I've been using the same model for over a year in both nas with no problem) but the drive would not mechanically insert into nas - after installing it into the "holder" and inserting it into the nas, the drive would not insert into the sata connector - it was as if the connector on the drive was missalignt from the axis of the connector in the nas. I have a DS1621+ running 7.2.1-69057. It performs multiple roles including file and photo backup, media server, security cameras, and manages our home lighting/hvac etc with Home Assistant and NodeRED running in Docker. It replaced a DS216+II almost 2 years ago and for the first year ran with stock RAM and no SSD with rarely any issues, but Home Assistant just had a little more latency than on the old NAS which I attributed to adding additional security cameras and more docker containers at the same transition. So I am using our NAS (We are a business) to backup workstations offsite. I have probably around 45 workstations that are being backed up currently and at this particular site there is 3 computers being backed up. I have utilized Synology Drive to do this for the sync task and 2 of 3 computers setup just fine. However, one of them is all of the sudden telling me that the SSL Certificate can not be trusted. Hi everyone! I'm having an issue with my Synology NAS and I'm looking for some help. I have the Synology Photos app and Media Server installed on my Diskstation. When I access it through my TV via DLNA, I can see the folders for images, audio, and video, but these folders are empty. All of my multimedia content is located in a folder called "Synology Photos". My question is if there is any way to modify the folder paths that Media Server can see so that it can directly access the "Synology Photos" folder where all my content is located. I currently have a DS115j, and soon this model will become obsolete. I'm not replacing it because its power consumption is extremely low. My question is, I want to replace it with the Synology DiskStation DS224+ 2 model. Is there a significant difference in power consumption? DS220+ using DSM 7.2.1. I am trying to add a couple of entries to the Allow List in Security/Protection. It will allow me to make one entry but when I try to add a second entry it overwrites the first. Same problem if I try to Import IP Address List - it imports both entries but only saves one of the entries. I can save either of the entries - but only on of them at a time.
