Hi all, I work at Enode.com, a Norwegian start-up building digital infrastructure for connecting and optimizing control of energy devices. We work with energy retailers to support their integrations with EVs into their products, like e.g. EV tariffs. To enable and maintain these connections we need access to test devices, and are therefore looking for owners of a Mini EV account that are willing to participate in our testing program for compensation. Please see more information and sign up... Looking for Mini EV owners ..read more

Mini Electric level 3 20 or 70 plate.

Anyone got one of these? Considering one to replace the weekend petrol car with something small and fun. Level 3 appeals as early ones are getting more sensibly priced and the low range will put off a lot of buyers. Opening sunroof is also a big bonus as I have often had weekend fun convertibles and sun roof is actually more practical for dealing with the sudden weather changes plus it's less of a gold fish bowl driving experience. They're 4 years old now so how are they getting along with... Mini Electric level 3 20 or 70 plate ..read more

Had a call from our dealer re our Dec 21 SE, which we've had since Aug last year, it needs a replacement 12v battery cover, no rush but we've booked it in in a couple of weeks. While he was on the phone he asked if we could advise a time when the car didn't move so they could dial into it and run some remote diagnostics, apparently something they are testing. Anybody else had this ..read more

My wife has always wanted a Mini and I have always dissuaded her as I know the reliability of the ICE versions are questionable at best and repair costs can be eye watering. I've been watching the second hand prices of the electric versions dropping to a level we can afford and today took one for a test drive. We both thought it was great and were keen to buy one...... There is a but, the Mini dealer was very pleasant and helpful but very dismissive or us wanting a level 1 spec and apart... Should we buy one ..read more

Hi All, I’m new around here and very new to the EV scene. I’m thinking of purchasing a used Mini Cooper Electric, 2020reg and 22k miles. I’ve purchased used cars before, but never an electric one. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to look out for with a used EV? I’ve seen discussion of battery SOH, but how would I find this out from the dealership? Anything else you’d be on the lookout for? Many thanks in advance for your help. Any tips would be greatly appreciated ..read more

Wanted to try out the precondition feature so set a departure time for late afternoon, it worked well and the car was nice and toasty, but there was quite a buzz from under the bonnet while it was running, is this normal? also don't then plug in the charger until after you've deactivated the preconditioning or it will just keep running ..read more

Extended warranty for the MINI electric ?

My MINI electric goes out of warranty cover next month and I would like to ensure that I still have cover against the rare but eye-wateringly expensive failures of the electric powertrain or other high voltage electronic parts. It seems that the MINI warranty quotes are tailored to the user, as per insurance against collisions, fire theft etc. and the mileage and age of the car. I would be interested to learn what others may be paying for this and, in the meantime I will arrange a quote... Extended warranty for the MINI electric ..read more

Our SE Multitone is now 4 months old with 1640 recorded miles. The car has never returned more than 100 miles per 100% charge and lately registering on 94 miles per charge. Been back to the dealership many times and listened to every EV reason why!! So tried to return the car and hit the usual brick wall so have decided to take legal action as not performing in line with current advertising. anyone taken this road or any words of wisdom or support gratefully received ..read more

I don't like regen mode, for a number of reasons, so I tend to turn it off when I start my Mini. I would like this set as the default so I don't have to do it manually. Is it possible to code the car to do this ..read more
