A very successful barefoot bowls competition started this Thursday evening on the MRB&PC Greens. Dorothy Zammit organised teams comprising of beginners through to highly experienced players from different organisations throughout the hinterland. The competition lasts for six weeks with generous prizes for the successful. An 'Afternoon Tea' to raise funds for research into Ovarian Cancer was held in the club rooms on October 5th. More than 30 women donned a frock to enjoy an afternoon of fun with an underlying serious cause. Our afternoon opened with a joyous performance from Deirdre’s Dancers . On a more sombre note, OCRF Ambassador, Aimee, described the harrowing journey she and her brother travelled from their mother’s diagnosis until her death earlier this year.
