I'm hoping a few of you would share your ideas on this subject of Chubby Chernobyls vs. Grass Hoppers. Personally I'd rather throw a hopper, but if for no other reason than the buoyancy of the foam, it seems a lot of people, guides and fly shop employees, want to throw Chubbies. Thinking back to last summer, I think I probably even caught a few more fish on Chubbies, but really, they're just a bit of foam with rubber legs and some fuzz. Woke up to find this on the wall of our kitchen: From a google search, the large eyes seem to indicate it's a male. And two feet away on the wall was this (photographed on a facial tissue): We live in the East Bay, in the city. But last week we were at our cabin for 4 days. I was fishing daily.
