As an event planner I truly enjoy planning events. The largest part to it is how you want your guest to feel. This year, I will be hosting a Friendsgiving at my home. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I am showing up strongly in support of Femme Empowerment. I decided to show my Femme Empowerment by making a pink pencil skirt and designing a shirt with words that exemplify who I am as a woman. I chose Simplicity 1559 for the skirt pattern and for the shirt I used vinyl I purchased from JoAnn to create an empowerment t-shirt. This is the last week of national sewing month and I don’t want it to end. When I tell you that I love sewing, I LOVE SEWING.
