PX4 G-SD Thread

Starting a thread for the new PX4 G-SD. Beretta has recently released their bull barreled PX4. Comparing between the original PX4, the G-SD is less than an ounce heavier, stemming from the weight in the bull barrel. After shooting it, it does seem to have a slightly flatter shooting slide as the increased weight in the barrel more than likely dulls the impulse response as the energy is transferred into the rotation of the barrel.    Anyone else gotten a G-SD?  ..read more

You guessed it 92x performance issues

Pistol has a few hundred rounds through it now.    Initially lots of failure to feeds and failure to extracts.    Installed a WC +50% extractor spring and that has seemed to help.    Still getting failure to feeds. The round jams at an angle in the barrel like a tilted follower or something.   At 1st I though it was a mag issue but I've tried 7 different mags. I am believing it may be a certain OAL ammo I loaded for my CZ at 1.10 124grn RN. At least 1 FTF jam each mag.   It seemed to like longer ammo. But I need to test more.    Most recently I ..read more

92X Performance Sight Cuts-Replacement Sights and Scope Mount-(Not-Optic Ready)

I picked up a NIB LTT 92X Performance. It's not-optic ready. Does it have the standard Brigadier sight cuts?    I'll be looking for replacement sights. As an old B-E shooter , I prefer a black front/adjustable rear combo.    Also a dove-tail scope mount so I can avoid setting the slide milled. I don't want to go down that rabbit hole at this time.   Thanks.   ..read more

Does anyone know (yet) if the twin sear parts of the newly introduced GTS, which has the frame mounted safety that also works as a decocker, can be installed on the 92x Performance.  ..read more

I haven't shot mine yet I am heading out today to see how I like it. I was really surprised that I liked the grips on the Squalo, feels great in the hand. I love the color of the Squalo.   Henning and Taylor Freelance base pads will not work with the Toni System magwell. I put the MBX Ultra Mag spring and follower in the magazine with the Toni System base pad. I was able to load 24 rounds. I racked 2 snap caps out without any issues. No live fire yet.  ..read more

Adding Talon to 92X Performance Defensive (92XPD)

I picked up a 92XPD with the goal of try competition shooting.  I am currently experimenting with different grip techniques and grip panels.  I have some Lok wrap around grips, and I’ll cover those in a separate post.   I wanted to try the standard vertex frame but needed more texture.  They did not have precut panels for 92’s with frame mounted safeties so I started with standard 92 grip tape and cut to fit.  They came out well and feel great.   ..read more

92X RDO Match Hammer Drop In Issues

I bought and installed a Skeletonized Match Hammer on a 92X Compact RDO. I wasn't sure definitively if the newer models do have the Xtreme S Trigger Group (at least Trigger Bar/Spring).   I installed it. DA and SA works, trigger resets, so I assume it is in fact an Xtreme S trigger bar. And the SA pre-travel has been reduced DRASTICALLY. There's one minor issue though. When the hammer is cocked and I slowly pull the trigger to the wall and prep, the firing pin block lifts by maybe 1mm (possibly less). Letting go of the trigger, the FPB doesn't recess fully anymore and the trigger also doe ..read more
